Guest guest
That garage sounds like a daunting task Amy! I do like your suggestion of pulling everything out of closets and cabinets every Feb. I think I will adopt that tradition. I'll tell my husband he has you to thank when he complains about our new Spring cleaning process ;-) In a message dated 9/25/2004 2:33:47 PM Pacific Daylight Time, purrfect@... writes: > > > Glad to hear you got settled in and are enjoying the new place. Guest guest
If I told him about all the great ideas I am learning on this site today I think he would try to burn the computer or try to block me from this site!!! Somehow I just don't think anything I could say would convince him it is a good idea to pull things out only to purge and put things back...especially in the lower cabinets :-) He is more a believer that everything should stay as is. Our neighbors joke because whenever they need anything at the hardware store, they can just come here instead and he is sure to have it. At our house, I keep the inside absolutely meticulous, but the garage and his side of the closet are off limits on threat of divorce :-) In a message dated 9/25/2004 3:35:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time, purrfect@... writes: > You can tell him you are celebrating Candlemas (aka Imbolic in Pagan > circles) It's a holiday celebrating the return of the sun, the purification > of and the Christ child in the church, and to me represents the need to > purify our lives by cleaning out the old to make room for the new. Guest guest
Glad to hear you got settled in and are enjoying the new place. When we moved out of Colorado Springs to just 20 minutes East we ditched a ton of stuff. Now we have a 4 car garage and can only park one car in there (good thing we only have one)....I think it's time for a declutter session again. ) I actually go thru our house every February and pull everything out of cabinets and closets. We then rearrange, sort, toss, donate all the stuff we haven't used or aren't about to use soon. It helps keep the space clear of clutter and also, since it's after the holidays, it helps make room for new things acquired over Christmas. The garage on the other hand hasn't been sorted thru properly for over two years. It's wayyyyy overdue. Amy G. Re: Re: ACE Inhibitors/ > > > > Pierre, I can't imagine moving right now. Guest guest
You can tell him you are celebrating Candlemas (aka Imbolic in Pagan circles) It's a holiday celebrating the return of the sun, the purification of and the Christ child in the church, and to me represents the need to purify our lives by cleaning out the old to make room for the new. Hence every February 2nd the cleaning begins in my home only to be completed at the Spring Equinox. For me it really makes the shut-in feeling of winter easier to bear out. And if he continues to complain do what I do with my husband....make him pull everything out of the low cabinets in the kitchen...it's hard to complain on your knees with your head stuck deep in the cabinets. ;o) Amy G.
