Guest guest
Hi GEmma- I worked with a Naturopathic doctor for almost a year. I was taking Vitex, Opti/Gyn and Turska's Formula. I became a Vegan (also gave up sugar, caffeine and white flour), started exercising, doing some Yoga, saw an accupuncturist (but wasn't impressed although I've read some people have had luck with it) and I get massages twice a month. The massage really helps with the back pain from the fibroid but it is a short term relief. It would be better if I could go once a week but I just can't afford it. The supplements and diet change made the biggest improvement. I think the Vitex helped more than the Turska or Opti/Gyn. However, I really think the key was the vegan diet in combination with the Vitex. It really relieved a lot of my symptoms. However, I just don't have the willpower to keep up those dietary changes. Cheese and sugar are my weakness and when I'm feeling down, I reach for the chocolate - and I've been really down a lot lately. None of these things shrunk the fibroid but it didn't grow either. I had also lost 25 lbs. and physically felt great. However, since I fell of the vegan wagon last July, I've gained 18 lbs. back - ARGH! If I do not win my battle with Cigna I will probably try to go back to that diet, as hard as it was, because I can't live with these symptoms for another 20+ years. The hardest part though is that I will probably never be able to have children with this stupid fibroid - as much as I want the symptoms gone, I want so much more to have a family. Feel free to contact me off list if you have any other questions. -
