Guest guest Posted April 29, 2001 Report Share Posted April 29, 2001 FIREY CHICKEN - Low Carb3 pounds whole chicken -- cut up, with or without skin 2 tablespoons oil 1 med onion -- chopped; can use less to cut carbs 1/2 teaspoon cumin 2 tablespoons paprika 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 garlic cloves -- minced 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon oregano 1 cup water 1 packet Splenda Brown chicken in oil - remove & drain. Mix remaining ingredients together in pan and add chicken. Cook 25 min, turn and cook an add'l 20 min or until chicken is cooked. Serve broth over chicken. Optional: can thicken sauce.
