Guest guest
There are more than 1,000 people on this list. It took me two years to make lifetime. I am sure I am like many of you. I am not the Weight Watchers poster child. I didn't stick to the plan religiously (which is why it took me two years to get the weight off.) I say this NOT to encourage you to slip off the plan. I say this to let you know that even if you slip off the plan, you CAN still do this. The important part is to GET BACK ON PLAN. I only lost weight when I was journaling and counting points. I only lost when I was exercising. I only lost when I ate at least five servings of fruits and veggies and avoided sweets. Even when I was off plan, I kept on eating a salad or vegetable soup for one meal daily. I continued to exercise, including lifting weights. Even when I was exercising and earning 60 exercise points a day (because I was riding a bike 60 miles a day) I watched my points. I DID NOT BEAT MYSELF UP FOR WEIGHT GAINS. I DID NOT BEAT MYSELF UP FOR GOING OFF PLAN. I didn't praise myself, I just knew, always, that I COULD lose the weight whenever I chose to. And, fortunately, I chose to stick to the plan enough times to get 37 pounds of it off. I would still like to lose some more. And I know I need to be careful. But if I can do this, I think everyone can. It is not difficult. It takes perseverance. And eventually, you will learn to LOVE carrots and working out. I mean, I really MISS exercising when I can't. Sometimes, a good spinning class feels almost as good as sex to me. I'm only halfway kidding, too. Merry Christmas, Many thanks to everyone here who helped me. And remember to try to save a lot of points for Thursday. Diane
