Guest guest
I am not in your situation, but you asked for opinions, and here is mine. Stress is one factor for pre-term labor..when you are stressed your baby can feel that, also it canot be good for your blood pressure..if you have the opportunity to take an early leave, you may want to consider it...if your doctor agrees, you can be on disability to make it easier finacially..good luck and try to relax... Guest guest
Hi all. I wonder if anyone has any advice for me on this. I am in sales and drive on average 3 hours per day...mostly in and out of New York City (I can drive up to 6 hrs though). Work has been so incredibly stressful the past few months and I am 6 months PG. I am still taking Zofran for nausea and I wonder if it is just bad because I am so stressed. Every minute of the day and night I am thinking about work. TO make matters worse, I am covering not only my own territory, but someone else's as well. Double work! My boss has no sympathy. Now of course I am getting worried about running around NYC all day with the war protests and all. I just don't know what to do. Quitting is not an option because my hubby and I need the money AND the benefits (he doesn't get any with his job). Should I consider taking early leave? I feel like I'm stuck, but I keep reading how stress can be very harmful to pregnancy. I already have Braxton Hicks almost every day which makes me nervous about preterm labor too. Any advice is appreciated!!!
Guest guest
, I was under an incredible amount of stress during my ENTIRE pregnancy (my ex- husband conjured up lies about me abusing my son and had SS and the state police visit us not just once, but twice... he sued me for sole custody etc etc etc). I am a good Christian person who was trying to be the best Mom I could. I had Braxton Hicks from 6 months til delivery. I was put off work b/c of the added stress (NICU RN) ontop of my added stress wasn't good for me or the baby. Thank GOD that he was brorn ok and healthy! Since you can eardicate your stress by taking an early leave, I would consider it seriously. I couldn't eradicate my ex- husband....well, I could have.....but..... ok, nevermind! Ask you Dr. if he would write a medical nescesity letter to your employer stating that you need a reduction in work hours (more days off- less hours per day..etc). Do you have a job that you could work from home until the baby comes? I wish you the best... I know how that stress can affect ones mood and psyche!
