Guest guest
I still have a scratchy throat and I need a nap but I fell 88% better then I had been. I did get my son sick, he threw up a couple of times yesterday and stayed home from school today. He's bouncing off of the walls now, driving me crazy so he's off to school in the morning. I ate a full meal for the first time since Friday and it tasted GREAT, hot cakes from Mc's then some fried shrimp from my favorite pizza place. I lost a bit of weight, I was 1.4kg under my dry weight today and you'd be surprised how many techs don't know what to do when I'm below my weight. The tech today just stood over my machine stareing at it till the RN walked up and told her what to do. I'm working on removing the sticky stuff off of my chest from my dressings, I'm still looking for some miracle remover, any ideas? I hope everyone else is feeling better and that this passes REAL QUICK for those who have what ever is going around. BRANDY
Guest guest
! I am Soooo glad you are feeling better! I know what you mean about your son bouncing off the walls! can be sick enough to stay home, and then within an hour or so, with cold medication and/or a nap, she's raring to go! I am doing the " walking-wounded " thing again today. Not sick enough to stay in bed but not well enough to function properly! LOL! Hopefully this means I won't get the full blast of this cold/flu like you did! (she says, with fingers and toes crossed for good luck!) Almost human I still have a scratchy throat and I need a nap but I fell 88% better then I had been. I did get my son sick, he threw up a couple of times yesterday and stayed home from school today. Guest guest
I'm not sure how sensitive the area you want to clean is or how close it is to your port, but I know fingenail polish remover will work. But, you need to be extremely careful with it. They also make an adhesive remover the comes in small individual packets that my sister, who is a nurse, usually brings home from the hospital. You may be able to get something like this from your dialysis center. > I still have a scratchy throat and I need a nap but I fell 88% better > then I had been. Guest guest
You might try Avon's Skin So Soft bath oil. It will remove sticky adhesives from skin, but you should be very careful about where it spreads and dab precisely with a q-tip type swap.
