Guest guest
Anybody using these nose drops? Has anyone talked to their Pulm. or ENT about them? They sound like a good idea. I just wondered what Dr.s were saying about them and if they are working for anyone. Lori mom to Scout 2 wCF
Guest guest
Shantell just started using Xlear. There is a quote on the information that we received with our shipment. It says, " As long as xylitol is a food and not a drug there will be no claims for any medical benefits made on the label of a xylitol/saline spray. That does not prevent me from sharing my experience with this spray with the understanding that this experience is anecdotal only. " Xylitol is the reduced, polyol, form of wood sugar xylose. The World Health Organization has given xylitol its safest rating for food additives. It further states, " The scientists also found that when using nasal epithelial cells in vitro, that a 5% solution of xylitol releases the attachment of 68% of Strep. Pneumo. and 50% of H. Flu. from those epithelial cells. These bacteria, the primary cause of otitis, sinusitis and bronchitis live in the nose. " This is the main reason we decided to go ahead and try it. Taking all this into consideration, we chose to start using it. She's only been on it for a little over a week, so I'm not prepared to give judgement on it yet. I've let her doctor know we were trying it, but he didn't give us a ney or yeah. She has a Lung and Critical Care appointment on April 4th, so we'll know more then. I'll keep you posted. , mom of Shantell 19yr wcf Xlear Anybody using these nose drops? Has anyone talked to their Pulm. or ENT about them? They sound like a good idea.
