Aldosterone/Renin test results

Tested on 11/6/07 at 4pm.

Aldosterone - 7.9 - range (1 - 16) - low normal.

Renin - 1.90 - range (0.15 - 2.33) - high normal.

Background: required adrenal support for my fried adrenals.

I took it for approx 2 years (Deltacortril/prednisoLone 7.5mg).

After adding Iodoral I no longer needed to support my adrenals.

However, there were times when I may have had symptoms of low

aldosterone, so I had that and renin tested. I am on Armour at

a full replacement dose w/o any hypO/hypEr symptoms and BHRT

dosed by symptoms w/o meno symptoms. Doing excellently, other

than suspected low aldosterone. BTW, only half my hair returned

on Armour and BHRT, so I have suspected there was something else

amiss...
