Guest guest
Here it goes... I am more confused now, then I was before I went to the Clinic! I cannot believe what I was told. I am dumbfounded and don't know what is happening. The doctor that I saw told me that he doesn't think that I have Lupus. He also said that he doesn't think that I have Spondylitis. He said that he doesn't think that I have arthritis. As a matter of fact, he said that he doesn't t think that I have any chronic inflammatory disease at all! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??!!!??? He said that I have to have a CT scan done of the pelvis, concentrating on the sacroiliac joint. HE said that I may have been infected with something. WHAT??? THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!!!!! He said that all of his patients that have spondylitis and have sacroilitis respond to the NSAID's and they can keep their pain under control. I would have had the CT in Cleveland, since I lived so far away, but they were triple booked so I have to wait until his report is sent to my regular doctor, so that she can order the CT. Who knows how long that will take. I am more confused now than I have ever been I do not understand what in the hell this could possibly be! I am more afraid now, too! What in the hell could I possibly be infected with that would do this? I know that it cannot be something in my blood b/c I just gave blood a couple of months ago. I would think if it is anything "female", I would have known when I went to the OB/GYN on this past Tuesday. The other thing that he did say was that I SHOULDN'T get the joint injections b/c he doesn't t think that they are safe and he doesn't t think that they will help cure the problem. I need some feedback! What do you think I should do? I mean, for over five months I have been lead to believe that I have Lupus and for about a month I have been lead to believe that I have Spondylitis. Should I go with this doctor from the Cleveland Clinic or shouldn't I? Also, I still have to see the rheumy on 9/20/00. BTW--what do they do to you during a CT? ~
