Guest guest
, and Amy, Thanks for the scam info. I really need to be less trusting, however that is very hard for me. Thank goodness I asked you guys first before I did anything on this site. I'll try to follow the directions to report it. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!! BONNIE Bonnie Duran wrote:Did anyone get a message regarding this today? I don't bank with these folks and just wondered if it has to do with our donations to this web site. They say if I don't respond within a short period of time they are going to suspend my banking privleges " here " , but to the best of my knowledge, I don't bank there. I am new at the " pay pal " thing, and I know they asked me to confirm deposits in my bank statement which I haven't had the time to do yet. But before I give out any of my banking information to Sun Trust, I want to make sure that this is affiliated with the donation stuff here. Can anyone help? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I'm glad you checked with us first too! I have a few friends and family that click first and ask questions later. Here is a GREAT site to check out a lot of those " please-forward-to-everyone-in-your-book " emails. It's also a lot of fun to just browse through too. (I used it a lot after 9/11 with all the rumors floating around) http://www.snopes.com/ Re: " Sun trust banking account " from Bonnie " SCAM " , and Amy, Thanks for the scam info. Guest guest
, I can't thank you enough for you " doing your homework " and checking out that site. I never would have thought to do that. Your concise directions made it easy to file a fraudulent claim form. I go back and forth to Mayo clinic and depend on my debit card instead of carrying cash, so I had almost started to fill it out until I decided to ask you guys about it. The reason I had asked, was because I just signed up with the pay pal thing to make donations to Ig A website and almost assumed that this email was affiliated with that account. Man oh Man, am I ever grateful for you. Thanks a million!!!! Bonnie wrote:Hi Bonnie, I'm glad you checked with us first too! I have a few friends and family that click first and ask questions later. Guest guest
You are more than welcome! I'm just glad that you asked first, and that *magically* your post wasn't one of the ones that was bounced today! It took me three tries to get that reply to you! It REALY burns my *BUTT* that there are people out there that do this kind of stuff. I know it is futile to stress about it, so I just try and head it off when ever I can! Guest guest
Poneyboy, thanks for the " heads up " . Thank goodness I do little shopping on the internet. The only thing I buy on line is books I can't locate, and for that it is great. I guess one can not be too careful these days. What a shame, huh. Thanks again.
