Men may be "smarter" than Women and "better" at "sports" but only when these words are defined the way you want to and hence this is meaningless as far as common usage is concerned.

But women are, as a group, more emotionally intelligent than men. So, you take a female such as kayleigh who is enormously "IQ bright," and add her likely advantage in the emotional intelligence dept., and she is likely to be a wonderfully well-rounded human being, as well as a kick-ass litigator, psychologist, or any number of other professional roles.

I enjoy being a (smart) girl. < and Hammerstein music rising>

And how would you reckon that other by another arbitrarily constructed set of definitions?

I have always thought this, but found confirmation for it in the book EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, which I have...somewhere.

I didn't say it wasn't true-I said it is ridiculous to equate discriminating

sense of hearing with high intelligence. I guess bats are geniuses? Mike.

And I don't doubt that women getting Asbergers are emotionally impaired related to more stupid women.

From a Freudian view you've both had dominating mothers.

Not your fault, of course, but have you ever felt your hatred against it?

Say what? I do not have Asperger's Syndrome, which is a predominantly male condition. My *son has it.

My mother is not dominating, not in the least. She is a rather weak and fragile person.

Hi Mona.

I've no doubt both you an Kailegh are intelligent.

The Danish/Norwegian writer Axel Sandemose stated in his most famous book ("A Refugee is crossing his Path" (I don't know the American translation)) that intelligence was a result of developing childhood survival mechanisms. Intelligence is a result of an emotionally deprived childhood combined with a relative prosperity.

Sorry Mona.

I shouldn't have written in the first place. I've just reread my posts from the 29th of June this day, and I can see I've been irritated and a bit to offensive to my own taste.

My 3 week vacation started on Friday, and strangely I've been a bit depressed since that day. Irritated, touchy and depressed.

I realized this on Sunday, and since then I've just accommodated to my condition. From past experience with these mood fluctuations I've learned that there is no use to fight them, it only makes them last longer.

Guess I'll be OK in a couple of days.

Work has been very stressing lately, so I'm wondering if there is something called an after-stress-reaction.

P.S.

My experience with Asbergers is purely clinical, and I've not met enough to make generalizations.

And to make things even worse for my own argument, actually the mothers have been submissive and the fathers restrictive and intruding. Setting the standards for proper behavior. But as I said, I've only known a few.

For one of them, which childhood I know in details through interviewing his mother, it was a lot of anxiety in his early life. Ritualization could be a defense against this. Well, I better should have said nothing.
