Guest guest
Weigh to go Laurie!!! Joy -- Laurie's WI/I Can't Believe I've Lost 50 Pounds I just posted this on the 50+ board, but I wanted to repeat it here. Hope you all don't mind . For anyone out there struggling, if I can do it, you can too. At my WI this morning I lost 5 pounds, which is unbelievable in and of itself. But that 5 pound loss earned me my 50 pound magnet. I cried like a baby on the scale. Never in my life did I think I could accomplish something so significant and so good for me. Guess I never thought I was worth it before. I was finally able to stop crying, but when they recognized me during the actual meeting and gave me my magnet, I started all over again. I felt really dumb, but when my leader and some of the members told me they were getting goosebumps over my reaction and success, it made me realize that maybe I do have the strength to keep going (since I still have a lot more weight to lose) and to motivate others. Like I said before, if I can do this, anyone can do it. Hang in there, be true to yourself and the rest will follow. Whether it happens slowly or quickly, you are totally worth it.
