Guest guest
Elaine: Not everyone has nausea or barfing just some of us and it is mostly caused by the anesthetic from surgery and sometimes from or in addition to pain meds, We do not have the problems for a life time as some of the other surgeries ours passes fairly quickly and unless we over eat doesn't generally bother us again, Huggles Tiger Lake Female 160 lbs. Guest guest
Margie, Thanks for your support. How do you feel? It's not very long since your revision. Funny thing was I was going to have the RNY before I heard of the DS. I've been im medicine over 25 yrs so I really got into it. There's no comparison in the life style you lead in the future. I'm so excited about it, that it's driving me nuts to wait for the approval. Talk to you soon. Elaine 255lbs and waiting to get thinner. Guest guest
Hi Elaine -- I'm one of those in the opposite camp! I haven't had one episode of vomiting since my revision nine months ago. This is a blessed relief from my years of RNY living before that. If you watch the discussions here over time, you'll see that various topics get discussed a great deal at once and then subside. Sometimes you'd swear that all we do is wipe our butts with strange tools. Sometimes it's thongs. It's the ebb and flow of tribal concerns. I'm glad you're one of us. Guest guest
I feel fabulous. I feel younger, taller, sexier, happier, more like a queen and less like a queen mum, I could go on and on... It's been nine months now. I've not regretted my revision one day, although there were several days just post-op that I regretted having surgery at all! That happens to most of us and it passes. And soon, maybe tomorrow, maybe next week, I'll be 50# lighter. I can hardly believe it because it's been so easy. Size 20 jeans are getting looser all the time. Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi Gang! Nobody seems to have HIP insurance. That doesn't look too good to me. Good luck to everyone having surgery. Elaine

Good luck to everyone having surgery. Elaine.... I hope you don't give up! Most of us on this list are pre-ops and it's entirely possible that someone else had your insurance but has moved on now. Maybe you'll get denied, but maybe you'll get approved. It's well worth pursuing! And if you need this surgery, it's well worth fighting for. Good luck and best wishes.... ===== H Dr. Keshishian/surgery 11-21-2000 San Francisco Bay Area mailto: hillsmith2000@... __________________________________________________
