Scandical not only contains maltodextrin (or a similar mixture of polysaccharides), but also fat (maybe MCT oil, but I am not sure). There is a similar product in the US called Duocal. Guest guest Posted April 18, 2001 Report Share Posted April 18, 2001 In the US it's usually called Scandical, but it's a good idea to be tested for ability to metabolize the sugars used before embarkinhg on the journey. I know many who do very well on it, though. I can't find anyone who knows what Ducal is, though, sorry. n Rojas who happens to be among those who (fortunately) could not use Scandical, nor could her cfer--hereditary inability to metabalize some sugars--mono,di, and polysaccharides for us; my daughter could have used it; I'm trying to find someone with a label about the MCT.
