Guest guest
He should be getting Procrit for the fatigue. I have never heard of using ritalin that way at least not for cancer fatigue. I'll check this out but it sounds strange to me. By the way as I have an ADD child you should know that it can decrease appetite. Guest guest
my father just had his 10th cycle of avastin/xeloda last friday, and his onc thinks it's working. but my father started experiencing abdominal pain and extreme fatigue these past few weeks. we talked to his docs and they don't think it's the avastin. they think it's from the " stretching of his liver sac from the peritoneal mets nearby " (my father has peritoneal mets that are right outside the liver sac near the subcutaneous tissues) so it's causing the numbing & tightening dull pain. they gave him oxycontin for pain management, and it works to alleviate pain. for the fatigue, they gave him ritalin (sp?)...i thought this drug is for hyperactive kids but his docs said it works to booster energy for normal people since it's a stimulant. anyone on ritalin here??? prayers and hugs, nickie __________________________________________________
