Borro trish@... Mom of Agustin, 10 mo wcf Buenos Aires, Argentina Our Baby Hello all, usually my wife does this but she is with our soon to be 2 year old(28th April) daughter at Riley Hospital for children in Indianapolis. They have been there since Tuesday morning. had to go for a recheck and they found spots on her lungs and admitted her.She is full of junk in her lungs and they took 6 hours to get in IV in her. They tried 5 times each on both her hands. 2 times each in her arm before finally settling on her foot, unfortunately she cant get around now because it is in her foot. They are going to do more bloodwork on Saturday and more X-Rays as well, we hope and pray they are better because if not they are going to stick a tube inside her to see what is going on. This is all new to us and we are very scared. I was hoping all of you could say a little prayer for our . Thanks alot
Guest guest
Firstly , My dad's name is ston so my eyes nearly popped out when I read your name. Is it a broncoscopy they will do on ? If it is then they will put her to sleep and she wont feel anything, and at least they can tell what is growing in her lungs for sure. My daughter Eilish 3.6wcf, has had loads of them and they cause her no problem. Here's wishing a speedy recovery for . Guest guest
HI! I will say a prayer for you. Its so awful watching them try to get an IV when they are fighting tooth and nail. As a parent you are just wiped out. My son is horrible - even with blood work - and it takes everything to hold him down. Once the IV was in he's OK - I will say a prayer for you guys....... Guest guest
frank: our thoughts and prayers go out to you, your wife and . it is definitely a scary thing. our son has been hospitalized three times in his first year of life. each time is a new adventure and i can't say it gets easier each time but we've found that you kinda become numb after awhile and just want to fight as hard as you can to make your kid's life better and now we have started to do fundraising for CF. it took us a year to get to this point and even though our hearts are willing we are still having problems finding the energy to follow thru as much as we really want to. I don't know much about Riley but I was born in Indianapolis and have a ton of family out that way. We drove by Riley a few weeks ago on our way to crawfordsville to visit my brother. I grew up in Connersville, have a Mom in Richmond, an aunt in indy, grandparents in Knightstown, an uncle in Rushville, etc., etc. We would probably move out that way but want to stay close to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh where we are close to the doc's. If you are new to the list welcome. if ya wanna talk email me at katdog52999@.... good luck and here's to a speedy trip back home for the little one, hugs and kisses, Doug and Kathy Stanley (Doug)
