Hello everyone,

I have been wrapping things up prior to surgery and now have until

Friday at 1:00 p.m. to relax. I just wanted to say thank you for all

of your insight, stories, knowledge, concern and caring. This has

been such a trying process for me as it is for all of us. It amazes

me that uterine fibroid disease is so ignored by the bigger part of

the medical community. It just baffles me. The symptoms that I have

experienced at times have been excruciating, debilitating and quite

frankly at times, incapacitating. How and why is this so ignored? A

lot of people obviously go into medicine for money. Boy, there is a

lot of money to be made with " our market " I hope and pray that

people will go into medicine with the idea of branching out with

treating uterine fibroid disease and that it may be forth front for

the sake of all of our health as well as sanity. For those who are

asymptomatic as well, because we were probably all asymptomatic at

one point in time. I know I was for almost 4 1/2 years from the time

I was diagnosed. Well, I just wanted to give my 2 cents worth. I

have a terrific physician, Dr. Olive in Madison, WI and he is

confident that he will be able to get all of my pedunculated fibroids

all via laparscope. You should see my belly this morning, I look

pregnant today which is not so much important as how I am

feeling...the referral pains are so very painful! This whole thing

just baffles me and saddens me and ticks me right off. I am sure you

can all relate! Also, there is not one single doubt in my mind that

I am not doing the right thing. I am very confident with my decision

which is an important place for all of us to be at. You should see my

pre-op question list! LOL!! I take minutes at work, today I will be

taking them as well!! And I, like all of us, have the right to know,

it is our body, for crying out loud!! Thank you every single one of

you!!

Hugs! Hugs! Hugs!

Cheryl =)
