None of the IRL people I know who had RAI have had trouble. They pop

their Synthroid in the morning and get on with their lives. Some of them

did it right off, and some tried ATD's first and didn't like them.

There is no treatment that gives you a quick fix, and nothing is

perfect, but RAI is not the unmitigated evil that it is sometimes

portrayed to be. It does have its advantages, as well as its

disadvantages. My biggest gripe about it is that US doctors tend to be

either ignorant or dishonest about the alternatives and push it as a

universal treatment, which it isn't. There is no universal treatment!

feel I really need to hear about all possible

scenarios before I make and eduacated decision.
