Guest guest
Pat or one of the posters said something about a blood clot having broken loose. How is that a complication of uterine fibroids? Maybe she had a DVT?

Guest guest
I am in shock! Miriam was very helpful to me when I first joined the group this summer. I really appreciated her taking the time out to talk to me about fibroids and all that problems that go with them. May God continue to watch over her family as they go through this time of heartbreaking loss and sadness. > Yesterday I stumbled came across the following: > http://www.malibutimes.com/obituaries/ > > Death from " complications of uterine fibroids " is a tragedy in any event, > but it is very personal this time because Miriam Goodman was a member of > this list-group and a frequent poster. Guest guest
Omigod, I'm getting cold chills as I read this. She was one of the people who comforted me when I first came here about conceiving after fibroids. This is such a tragedy, and reminds me of how trivial I've been in lamenting abou getting a flat tummy again. This is a serious medical issue and should be treated accordingly. Guest guest
A wonderful spirit has left this earth due to a " benign condition " and I am greatly saddened and enraged. I am enraged because if men were growing these godawful things on their balls and living with excrutiating pain, unpredictable bleeding and possible death, we would not have to beg for a measly $10 million dollars for research. I am so angry right now that I can't see to type.
Guest guest
I think with pregnancy or delivery, there is that possibility. As a nurse I did see the same situation once in the ICU. I wonder exactly what did happen to poor Miriam. gg SiCanto@... wrote: > Pat or one of the posters said something about a blood clot having > broken loose. Guest guest
Thank you for informing us, Pat. I have been wondering what had happened with Miriam and how her pregnancy was going. What a shock to learn of her death. How very tragic. I have been using her as an example that regardless of what medicine tells us, there is always hope that things will be different. I'm just at a loss for words.
