Amy,

I can't say why it happens only can say that I have it too. We were shopping this weekend and I got so dizzy that I had to hang on to the cart. I honestly thought I might pass out. It was scary!! I see my OB on Wednesday and I plan to ask him about it then. It happened a couple of times early on but I chalked it up to exhaustion, now I am not so sure. It was a bad feeling.

Amy

I used to get real dizzy in the mornings. Some things that worked for

me was to have my shower on a cooler setting and to eat something and

have water. Even now sometimes in the morning I don't feel hungry so

I don;t eat. Then later I feel dizzy and yucky. I think its important

to always have something in your tummy and stay hydrated.

Amy, Darn, I wish I had some answers for you. I am sorry. I know I have gotten dizzy once in awhile but nothing too bad. I assume the stores had a/c in them, so it must not of been too hot for you, sometimes I seem to get alittle dizzy when it is hot and I am not drinking enough water. Like I said, I wish I could be more help but I am sure someone else here can be. Take care and I hope it goes away. Take care. 26wks dizziness question... I don't know who's going to want to try to answer this for me... but hopefully someone will. I've been getting dizzy a lot lately... really bad recently. The first time it happened was Saturday... I was sitting down and all of a sudden got really light headed and nauseous. I laid down until the nausea passed but then had to get up and the dizziness eventually faded on it's own. After that I noticed that movement had slowed down so I was very aware for the rest of the night and by the next morning it was nonexistent. So I went to L & D where we listened to the h/b for an hour and there were several accelerations just like there were supposed to be. My b/p was done twice. The first time it was high, the second time it was normal. Movement started up again. I got dizzy again when we were walking around babies r us and toys r us, but I just had to deal with it since those places are over an hour from home. Then again today while we were at church I got light headed again. It started when I was sitting, then when it came time to stand I thought I was going to fall over. I don't remember all of this when I was pg with ... but that was 4 years ago so it could've happened and I just forgot. Anybody have any ideas why? Is it normal? What should I do to stop it? Hopefully someone has ideas...Amywife to ~2/14/97~mommy to ~6/18/97~ and one on the way ~EDD 11/8/01~

AmyA,

I really don't think at this stage in your pregnancy that it is

normal....but I could be wrong, I guess I'm wondering if it isn't your

blood pressure? I'm a little worried that it is something serious,

you've already talked to your dr. about it right?

Vicki, I haven't mentioned it to my dr at all... It has just gotten to be bad since Friday. I did read that if your blood pressure gets high it could cause those problems, but my second check on it was normal at the hospital Saturday so I'm really confused. Plus when they are asking questions related to my b/p it's always do I have any spots or headaches, never anything about light headednes... So do I take your question to mean that you think I should call my dr about it? My appt isn't until next week so if I need to have it checked out and discussed then I think I should go ahead and call... but I didn't know so I sent the message out... Let me know, bc if just one person here thinks I should then I will... Amy EDD 11/8 Re: dizziness question... Amy,

To be honest, I would call. I haven't called yet since I see my OB on Wed. but even at that I may go ahead and call tomorrow. I seem to forget the important things I want to ask while I am there.

Amy,

It wouldn't hurt to call the dr. and just mention your symptoms and ask,

is this normal??? I thought since you'd been to the hospital that you'd

been talking to your dr. too. I'd err on the side of caution.

Amy,

I know I'm wwaayy behind on answering this ~ my computer has been in the shop. But, I'd get that same feeling every now and then and I was always told it was my blood sugar level. It was a weird, unsettling feeling, but as soon as I'd eat something and sit down awhile, it would pass. I think that it is very common and not something to worry about (providing that's what you are having), but you are smart getting it checked out anyway.
