Guest guest
I second what Martha has to say here. This week I have a severe sinus infection with the headache from hell. My blood pressure is higher and my pulse is faster especially when the head is really pounding. My doctor put me on a large dose of Augmentin 875 mg. twice a day. He felt it would take a lot to knock it as it probably had built a resistance to the doxycycline that I already am taking in the really low doses (M.W.F, for me). Actually, I saw the PA, my doctor was on his day off. But great news......the PA has been following treating RA with AP and is probably better informed on it than my doctor is. Hmmmmm. I really love my doctor and will keep him for routine px's etc....but....should I feel the need of some adjustment on my AP regimen guess who I'll see? Judy rheumatic Pam: Faster heart beat From: " And Martha " <gmsmith@...> In reference to Pam's comment/question and to 's comments: And HELLO TO EACH OF YOU in GROUP: I wonder if the faster heart rate could be because of infection. I know that when I have a great deal of inflammation and infection in any part of my body, it seems as though my heart rate is faster. That is my experience. SO WHEN the AP is beginning to work some of that infection and inflammation is reduced and thus somewhat lower heart rate. I am not a medical person, so do not take this as the Gospel, but from my standpoint it happens. Just this week, I have had cellulitis and I have noticed my breathing and my heart rate have been faster. I am now on KEFLEX and my doctor is watching this closely. I am on predisone and it has caused me to have high blood sugar, which is controlled by Glucophage, but anyway, I have an immunity that is compromised/low resistance, so I worry that I need to go to the hospital to get IV antibiotics. I started on KEFLEX today for the skin infection. I just do not want to get blood poisoning. I will watch it closely and if chills/fever or more deepened redness sets in, I will go. This connective tissue disease really AFFECTS every part of your body. THIS ALL HAPPENED because I hit and fell against my recliner a week or so ago, and this set in. Any comments appreciated. I just got out of the hospital Jan. 14 from bronchial/asthma and the flu, GOOD GRIEF CHARLIE BROWN!!!!!! I have not written in awhile, but thanks for the support and info. I have RA, Osteoarthritis, asthma, fibromyalgia, thyroid nodules (hyperthyroidism)degenerative spine/neck; and chronic infections; diabetes II. and now have added REFLUX -diagnosed last month. Just touching the bases to let you know the diagnoses-- Martha from St. Augustine, Fl. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please click above to support our sponsor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
