Guest guest Posted May 9, 2001 Report Share Posted May 9, 2001 Hey all, I had my 10 week OB appointment and we had an u/s and.....we got to see the HEARTBEAT!! I had only had the u/s at 5 weeks that showed the gestational sac and the yolk sac so it was a relief to see the heart beating away (so fast too). So and I are on a whole new level of happiness. It really did drive home the idea that there is a living creature in there. Just think, the heartbeat that started a few weeks ago will go on (god willing) beating for the next 100 years! That is so neat. The best part of pg is having these milestones to look forward to and pass. This is one of the first few. Guest guest Posted May 10, 2001 Report Share Posted May 10, 2001 Dana, I'm sorry I couldn't get back on last night, decided to have a melt-down over a minor issue...sometimes it's so scary to remember how B I G these can be to a teenager...(YIPES) If you can't find a dopplar machine, I can send you the pocketbook mentioned in the above crime...I think it has magnets in it...(new excuse, how does that one sound??) it might prove effective at your ob's too...(dying here...shameful) but seriously, I will send you mine if you can't find one. ( I can always bring Shauna to my appointment if I get pg again before you are done with it...giggle) It is so reassuring during those stressful, doubtful times... When you finally get to hear your baby's heartbeat it sounds like a horse galloping...it is so wonderful. Have a fabulous day, my friend, talk soon.
