its made from oil with some milk in it and hardened into a long block of

cheese and then sliced.. its sandwich size and easy to use for that which is

why its popular

would this be the same as our processed cheese slices some are made by

Kraft and individually wrapped? And the store brand had a count of 4

something carbs and the Kraft was 1 something carbs. And would this be the

same kind of cheese slices that is used on Mac s?

I wish I could, when I order eggs in a resturant, I like american cheese and

onions on them. Imagine the blank looks I get when Im in Canada and I ask

them for american cheese on my eggs.

For people who speak the same language, it always amazes me how many words

are used differently. When we got married, my mil asked for preserves and

couldn't understand why they brought her canned fruit rather than jam. I ran

into serviettes vs. napkins, Canadian bacon, and so many more. Even the

differences in defining what a first floor is. was a stumbling block at

first. We live and learn.

I've seen Bel Laughing Cow on GF lists, but I've never called on it

myself. It is sold in the US, at least the plain, light, and baby

bel varieties are. The garlic/herb and french onion are harder to

find. I haven't seen them in years.

What I miss are the similar little cheese wedges with mushroom or

onions. Oh, those were good. I ate them a lot in Russia, but I

think they may have been German.
