Guest guest
Hi , that is what happens to me when I eat a food that I'm allergic to. I did an elimination diet and when adding foods back in after not eating them in awhile, my face broke out horribly - painful, ugly, the worst - it hurt to talk they were so bad. Are they mostly around your chin area? My docs said that breakouts around the mouth indicate food allergies (chinese medicine theory, I think). You can be allergic to anything, I don't think seeds are any exception. connection...pimple sores Hello everyone... I am wondering if there is a connection for me or if anyone else has this kind of reaction. For the past three months I have been okay, no break outs of those nasty sore like pimples that aren't really pimples (I know there are many of us that have these...what ever they are) I mostly get them bad on my face, but like I said I have been good never realizing that I didn't have them for awhile, till Monday. Six of them have popped out. They are sore, and nasty, very irratating. The only thing I can think of are Sunflower seeds. Now the reason I think of this is that I haven't eaten seeds for awhile, I guess I just got sick of them and stopped buying them, well camping season is back and I ate quite a few this weekend. Prior to the past three months I used to get these awful things all time, for the past year or so, I changed my face cleaner changed soaps, nothing worked to get rid of them. I used to eat the seeds on a daily basis (they helped me quit smoking...or at least gave me something to do with my mouth and hands). I quit smoking and started my methimazole within two weeks of each other.... I guess what I am trying to ask...can someone be allergic to Sunflower seeds? and have the reaction of those sores / pimples?
Guest guest
they mostly occur just below my lips, by the corners on my chin, just under my nostreal (sp). Although this time I have one on my forhead, but they don't usually occur there. The hurt!!! and I seem to pick at them which doens't help. In the beginning I used to try and leave them then they would just grow huge and look like an infection type puss...not really pimple puss. Hard to explain. I think that I will have to test the seed thing out...when these are gone eat some seed and wait and watch. If they are the seeds are there similar foods maybe I should stay away from? connection...pimple sores Hello everyone... Guest guest
I recently found a homeopathic acne treatment that took the pain away for several hours at a time, it's called: s Acne gel and I got it at my natural foods store. My allergies are all over the board. I can't eat peanuts, but I can eat walnuts and almonds... it's hard to figure out unless you experiment. Yes, around your mouth is supposed to be food related, digestive problems. I get them exactly where you say, plus the odd one on my forehead or nose or something. The other thing that I noticed was that when I was hypo my face would break out a lot, and hyper, it's good unless I eat foods that are bad for me. So it could be that you are heading into hypo like your other post said. I would insist on labs, if I were you. Hope you can find the s, it stings at first, but then no pain and they eventually dry up and go away. :)Pam B.
Guest guest
, You will need to experiment, but I would suspect the beer. Sunflower seeds were for ME an excellent way to add copper to my diet, and were part of my own personal healing plan. Not that you could not have an allergy to them, I just figured I had to throw in my two cents. It is worth looking into before throwing them out, and missing out on a great food source. -Pam L -
Guest guest
Wine always gave me a headache. Not because I drank too much of it, just the smell started a migraine. Strange, huh? Guest guest
somewhere I read beer has copper in it too. But I've also heard it can have all kinds of additives. So far, I can have a beer here or there without feeling bad. No more red wine though, I guess it has citric acid Re: connection...pimple sores , You will need to experiment, but I would suspect the beer. Guest guest
Pam, Not all beer is made in copper vats. Only a few of the better ones. Copper vats are expensive. Also most common beer contains formadihide. Can't spell it, but you know the word I am trying to say. LOL That would make an interesting study though if one HAD to have beer. But since Graves' causes liver problems, AND anti thyroid drugs and anti thyroid herbs all add extra stress on the liver, I personally do not feel any beer is a very wise move for anyone truly wanting to heal. We know the liver is the problem for folks that drink too much, so the poor liver must have to work hard to process any kind of alcohol. If anyone can prove my theory completly wrong, I will join you in a cool one. :-) Just my opinion. -Pam L -
