Writer looking for stories about how breast cancer affects women's finances

I posted here before to get some feedback from breast cancer

patients on the role of online support groups, and got so many

wonderful responses and story suggestiosn (including this one), that

I thought I'd try again.

I write a regular column on breast cancer for mydna.com and am

currently looking to tell the personal stories of several

women/families who have had financial hardships due to breast cancer

(having to quit a job, unpaid medical bills piling up, had to

declare bankruptcy, etc...)

If you or someone you know has a story to share, please email me at

messages.) Inlcude some basic info (name, family status, and brief

description of your financial situation and the problems breast

cancer has caused it).

I will have to use your name, age and city, so please only contact

me if you are willing to speak on the record without the promise of

anonymity. But rest assured that this article is being written to

help others understand a new side of breast cancer and the pain and

suffering it can cause financially - and that you will only be

represented in the most sympathetic light.
