HELP Has anyone experience abdominal pains (like a numbing, tightening or cramping sensation), especially at night? Hi Nickie...this is the pain that Glenn has been suffering with for almost 2 months. They've done every scan and then some...procrastinating the chemo. Now they've decided it is the Cancer (colon with mets to liver...colon resection a year ago) itself causing the pain...and have started with the 46 hr. Infusion. He had his first treatment 2 wks. ago...and we go today for the 2nd. I must say he has had 3 days in a row now where the pain has been bearable, he's been awake for more than an hour at a time and he's been able to eat small portions of food...yeah!!! Is this progress or what?? We are hopeful...and anxious to get that second dose " Poison " in to his system today!!! Praying for everyone in this group and read the posts everyday...just can't seem to keep up on a daily basis. Guess having 2 full time jobs and being a caregiver might have something to do with it...LOL Have a great day, pleeeeze!!! Your posts are of such great help and comfort to me...keep up the good work!!! Sometimes I print them out just to keep in my records, b/c I can't write down all the details in my " Book of Glenn " as efficiently as you do it for me!!! Thanks... Everyone's posts here are of great value...and I just wanted to let you know I appreciate each and every one of them, even if I can't respond as often as I'd like to do so. This constant abdominal pain, lack of eating and sleeping 20 hours out of 24 and the terrible bloating of the stomach that we've been going through with Glenn has kept us running to the hospital and in a state of constant fear the last 2 months. When I see that someone or several have the same symptoms, and especially with my lack of trust in all doctors these days, it helps me get through another week, day or hour giving care to my sweetie, being able to stay more positive!!!
