Guest guest
Lu Sorry, I have no experience with that but I've heard that it's painful. Could a foot dr help at all? Keep thinking positive thoughts. I will pray for you. Janet/WA
Guest guest
Hi Lu, I'm having the same problem as you, the only time since August that my foot improved was when I was in hospital after my lumpectomy (January), it was OK for a coule of days and now it's come back with a vengence. I think I'll have to go to a chiropodist/podiatrist before I start radium. I've used inserts for my sneakers but it's so hot here (Aust) sneakers are out of the question and I found that inserts don't help much anyway. I hop out of bed in the morning and walk like a cripple, it's a nuisance. Jen
Guest guest
I used to get PF in my feet usually alternating from foot to foot year to year. I used to run and walk a lot. Mr. podiatrist said if you have tight calves it is important to stretch before and especially after doing any exercise to prevent this. Guest guest
Lu, been there done that. It's not only wearing the right shoe, but you need to get a good shoe insert, mainly for your heal. Believe it or not the doc can have one made for you but those are pretty spending. You do want one for arch support and heal cushioning. Also try icing it for as long as you can stand it. it's going to take a while to get better, but it will happen. Try to stay off of your feet unless you have to get up on them. Mine was the worst in the morning getting out of bed and then when getting up from a chair. At first it was not all the time, that's why I did not think anything of it, but after about 3-4 months it got to the point of hurting all the time. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Mine has been going on for 6 months. I keep saying one condition to take care of at a time. (At 54 things are starting to hurt every where. <s> and don't imagine it will get any better). Do you know if the heel/arch inserts you can get at the stores work? I've tried one but it doesn't seem to help. There are so many more out there. I'll have to try the ice and see if that helps. Thanks. You've helped more than one person here. Guest guest
The drug store heel cups didn't work for me...too squishy. I had to go to an orthopedic specialist who fitted me with hard plastic heel cups that work great. He also put a shot of cortisone into one heel the first time...the shot was so painful I refused to let him to it again! The cure was worse than the condition!
