Guest guest
, That would happen to me too, only it was the first half of my pregnancy more then the later half. You should tell your doctor, but I can tell you if it's low blood sugar and you hadnt eaten in several hours, your doctor will tell you to have more " little meals " throughout the day, trying to get in protein first. I had low blood sugar AND low blood pressure my entire pregnancy, and still suffer, had my own little hypoglycemic episode late last night while I was sitting here trying to catch up on emails. Anyway, sorry you felt under the weather, and do make sure to let your doctor know how you are feeling. Take care! Marcy Question for the hypoglycemics in the group... I *think* I had a low blood sugar incident yesterday ... wanted to compare notes with others who might have suffered them. Does this sound like what happens when you have low blood sugar? I decided to take a nap. I woke up all sweaty and shaky ... almost like a dumping episode but I knew it wasn't that since I hadn't eaten in several hours. After 5-10 minutes of this I thought perhaps it was because I'd hardly eaten all day so I quickly ate 2 pieces of American cheese and drank about 4 oz of orange juice. The " episode " ended about 5 minutes after I ate/drank. Is this something that I should call the doctor about? I fixed it on my own but I'm still slightly freaked by what happened and I don't know if it should be a cause for concern. Thanks in advance, EDD 5/13/03 - Its a GIRL!!! 2/26/02 lap RNY Mommy to (9/16/94), Lexie (7/2/96), (5/1/00)
Guest guest
Similar things happened to me pre-pregnancy, but I have had several episodes of this since I became pregnant. I have found it only happens when I go too long without eating (except for in the morning). If this is the first time this has happened, I probably wouldn't be too concerned. Feel free to contact your doctor if that would ease your mind. It's more than likely just your body's way of saying " FEED ME " .
