Guest guest
Vicki, I can't tell you how much I needed to hear that right now. This whole breasfeeding issue is TERRIBLE!!! I already feel guilty and the baby isn't even here yet I thought about consulting a lactation specialist just to get more information, but the odds are really against it being successful for me. Oh Well, I didn't feel guilty until all the breastfeeding mothers at work basically made me feel like I would be an awful mother for choosing bottles. I just think it would be easier all the way around. I promise you I am not one known for my patience and I know it will challenge from the start. We actually already bought some bottles, and that had been our plan. Guess I should have kept my big mouth shut about that decision and I wouldn't be feeling so bad. Guest guest
DanaB, Don't feel bad about bottle-feeding Sweetie! Chase will be happy with whatever you give him! He won't even know the difference!!! And, it'll be nice for to be able to take part in the feeding too. Since I nurse Emma, Mike has missed out on feeding her. It's a really sweet bonding time whether you nurse or bottle feed and it'll be nice for you both to be able to take part in it. {{{HUGS}}}
Guest guest
DanaB, Isn't it funny how people always think what they are doing is the ONLY way and shame on you if you aren't doing it their way?!? Don't you feel guilty one bit sweetie! What works for one person doesn't always work for another. You and Chase will have your own way of working things out and you will be the best Mommy no matter what! Don't let those women at work get to you. You know one of them may just be eating their own words one of these days! elle > Vicki, > > I can't tell you how much I needed to hear that right now. This whole > breasfeeding issue is TERRIBLE!!! Guest guest
, Thanks!! I really wish I could believe that breastfeeding would be a possibility for me but alas I think it's a lost cause. I do think it will be easier to bottle feed given that I won't have the entire feeding responsibility. I know all in all it'll work out for the best. Guest guest
Elle, Thanks, it's funny how opinionated people can be on this subject. I refused to even comment on the circumcision questions... Dana
Guest guest
Dana, I can't tell you how much I cried when the breast feeding just wasn't working out....I felt soooo guilty and plus you are extra hormonal anyway, sooooo... Bob was like, what's the big deal, just quit. He was pretty matter of fact about it, just what I needed to hear at the time. You are not an awful mother for bottlefeeding so don't let anyone make you think you are! I had a wonderful time bonding with the kids while bottlefeeding and just rocking them and holding them, you will too! Towards the end of bf'ding Blake he was as frustrated with it as I was, it was a tremendous relief to both of us for us to switch to bottles. I was lucky that none of the kids had any food allergies either, they all stuck with plain ole Similac and did fine with it. Ok, so put that guilt OUT of you mind...there are better things to worry about! Vicki
