Guest guest Posted May 22, 2001 Report Share Posted May 22, 2001 This is probably too late for lunch, but they have 4 new dressings [they are displayed in bottle on counter], and the caesar is relatively low, as I recall. You could also do oil/vinegar. HJ ----- Original Message ----- > I'm going to join my hubby for lunch at Subway so I've been searching > through their nutrional info. Guest guest Posted May 23, 2001 Report Share Posted May 23, 2001

Subway stalls me! I was eating their BMT (italian) on lettuce & nbsp;for several weeks for lunch (their next to work). I lost no weight or inches, plus I had & nbsp;horrible cravings. & nbsp; & nbsp;I switched my lunch place to Whole Foods and now eat & nbsp;a chicken ceasar salad. & nbsp;I'm back on track with no cravings. I think the meat has hidden carbs and/or sugar.

Cheri & nbsp; & nbsp;

& nbsp;
__________________________________________________ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted May 23, 2001 Report Share Posted May 23, 2001 When I was looking at the Subway menus, lots of their meats were listed as " beef, water, salt " and then " May include: just about every chemical, sugar, and filler known to mankind " , so probably something in the meat was doing it for sure! Guest guest Posted May 23, 2001 Report Share Posted May 23, 2001 Subway " meats " are so full of chemicals, Kirstie. It wouldn't surprise me if they caused problems for any of us. -Marlena > >Reply-To: Atkins_Support_List >To: <Atkins_Support_List > >Subject: Re: Subway >Date: Wed, 23 May 2001 16:00:29 -0300 > >When I was looking at the Subway menus, lots of their meats were listed as > " beef, water, salt " and then " May include: just about every chemical, >sugar, and filler known to mankind " , so probably something in the meat was >doing it for sure! > >Kirstie > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted May 24, 2001 Report Share Posted May 24, 2001 I think the ceasar dressing only has 2 carbs per serving, and it's really good. I like the subway roasted chicken salad (with double chicken) That way I get more protein and they only charge an extra $1.00 for the extra piece of chicken. I eat the Subway salads a lot. I have gone to just lettuce instead of all the other veggie to cut down on the carb count. But there're still good. So, to report in since I've been inactive for a while, I'm still staying pretty much on plan. However, I have slipped a few times with all our travelling on the weekends - house hunting away from Dallas. So, instead of bouncing frm 170 to 172, I've been bouncing more from 172 to 174. So, I've got to get my mind back in gear and cut back on the carbs again. I'm still staying in ketosis most of the time, but have slipped out a few times. So, I've not been strict enough. But I still feel great. One of these days, maybe my mind will let me go ahead and do strict induction again and see if I can get the scale moving down again. It has been a struggle to get started again, Maintenance has been so easy!! henri in Dallas 184/172/148 LC 8/15/00 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest guest Posted May 27, 2001 Report Share Posted May 27, 2001 Thanks to everyone for the " heads up " on subway meats. I have been eating the roasted chichen salad on lettuce only with ceasar dressing severa times a week. I thought it was really low in carbs since it was only chicken and lettuce with 2 carb dressing. I guess I'll stop doing that. Guess I'll start making my own. Maybe that is what has be stalled for so long.....
