I was having so many problems with my blood sugar sabilizing and my

heart pounding on hc that I decided to wean down a bit. It was going

really well so I kept going. I felt ok except for the blood

sugar/heart pounding. I borrowed my mom's glucose meter and my blood

sugar was between 98 and 110. I watched it for about a week. I decided

that since I felt ok that I would just completely wean off the hc. It

has now been 13 days hc free and I still am having problems. I was

never like this before hc. My body just doesn't seem to have the

ability to stabilize my blood sugar anymore! I was hoping that after I

weaned off things would return to normal. How long does it take for hc

to completely leave the body? I hope this is not my new normal! I am

not eating many carbs and absolutely no sugar.

I owuld suggest either getting a script of Metformin and trying that ,

exercise! And Atkins type low carb for a couple weeks to see if there is

beta cell recovery. When sugar has been high for a while it damages beta

cells and you nee dot stay veyr low sugar for them to recover.
