Oh my I sure hope you are feeling well now.

As for the night sweats I know others have had them and they DO go away but I

wonder if the ladies have them more due to our hormonal changes.

Now to all you who have had surgery. It seems many of these side effects are

common. So I'd really like some stories from all of you on what to expect

should Phil have surgery.

The information I've read mentions these side effects granted but makes it

sound as if they are very rare.

So, if a few of you wouldn't mind sharing the good the bad and the ugly of

your surgery experience I would sure appreciate it.

In the meantime Ann I hope your recovery goes well and that these side

effects are soon a memory.

Glad to hear you are home and mending. Don't know about the night sweats -

haven't had any lately. Yes you do have a wonderful hubby. Take care and have a

Just kidding - I know you need him!! The nightsweats could be from many

things; maybe you should check with your doctor, just to make sure. The

exhaustion, of course, can be from the trauma of the surgery. Take it easy and

So sorry you hear you had so many complications. I too had colon

surgery Sept. 29. I had a lot of night sweats. The doctor could not

give me a good anwser. Maybe from the shock of surgery or antbiotics.

It will get better. I promise. Now have night sweats on my Chemo days

and a few days after. Just hang in there. It will get better. Yes, I

Pray we all have a better New Year ahead of us!!!!!

I'm sorry I didn't reply to the original post (meant to - then bounced off).

Depending on age it could be an early menopause kicking in - as if things

weren't fun enough! grrr! I'm going through it myself. I'm 43, not a hint of

menopause before the mid to end of chemo/radiation. It is not uncommon for

this to occur. Vitamin E does seem to help...and it may eventually stop (if it

is early menopause)...mine seems to be getting better. As mentioned though -

it could definitely be other things as well. Something though to definitely

bring up with the doctor. Keep us posted.
