Guest guest
In my husband's case there were NO signs. About a month before he had lower back pain and later he had a hard mass where his liver had enlarged. There were none of the classic signs. Bright red blood is a sign that SOMETHING is wrong could be very minor like a tear BUT DO NOT ignore it! Get a colonoscopy ASAP!! Don't take NO for an answer! If God forbid it is serious the earlier you find out the better chance there is for cure. Try not to worry but DO find out. We are all here to pray for and support you Let us know what happens God bless Narice " As long as I know the WHO I can bear any HOW even though I don't know WHY " (Commentary on Job from Dialogue in Despair)
Guest guest
The symptoms you have could be hemorrhoids, an anal fissure, polyps. I had streaked blood in my stools, not on the tissue paper. Lots of times if there is blood on the toilet paper also, it turns out to be hemorroids or an anal fissure. My doctor sent me for a colonoscopy. He found a lot of polyps, which were removed. It was a polyp that was causing the bleeding. Unfortunately, they also found a cancerous lesion. I also agree and urge you to get a colonoscopy. It is better to be safe than sorry. As mentioned previously, there may be no signs of cancer until it is too late. Again, do not panic until you have discussed this with your doctor. Keep us posted. Guest guest
In my husband's case there were absolutely no signs whatsoever. Not even until the day they did the colonoscopy and the actual surgery that determined he was stage III...surgeon could not believe it. Red blood indicates that there is something going on...could be minor, could be more. Definitely needs to be checked out. If you are a young person, don't let them write it off to hemrroids....insist on a more thorough exam especially if there is any colon cancer history in your family.
