Guest guest
Not sure about pregnancy contradiction, but, if you had an RnY, my understanding is that it's hard on pouches. Those pregnancy headaches can be annoying. I hope you find relief, Lenore. HTH, Blessings, Jordan's SAHMommy ( in California) headaches I have bad preg headaches. Guest guest
We suggest pregnant women not take MOTRIN during pregnancy (just tylenol) because Motrin has " aspirin like tendencies " to thin your blood. Plus, my surgeon told me to never take Motrin or Non steroidals ever again after the WLS. I hope Tylenol works for you!!
Guest guest
Its better to take Tylenol.. especially since after surgery (Ibuprofen).. The best bet is to not take anything until after 12 weeks but if your miserable by all means take it Shonda ~WAHM to Kaitlyn(5), e(3)~ PG #3 - EDD: 4/13/03 headaches I have bad preg headaches. Guest guest
Hi Joanne - It has been my experience that more people with lupus suffer with headaches than don't. Mine are migraine type and bad enough that the pain medication I take is one that helps with them. I do not remember a day when I didn't have a headache. I have a history of migraine headaches, but they went away when I had my hysterectomy at age 25. One of the first symptoms of lupus I had was migraine headache. Not fun. Your doctor should be able to prescribe a medication for you. Try not to be too discouraged if you need to try a few different medications before you find one that works for you. A journal is a good thing when you have headaches. I'd write down how you feel every day, what you eat and what medications you take. You may end up seeing a common thread with a food or medication or even an activity and your headaches. Cigarette smoke will trigger a migraine for me. So if I am going to be somewhere I know there will be smokers I take a pill before I go. Hugs - a B. headaches Hi Im just curious , does anyone else suffer with headaches, and if you do what do you do??? Over the counter meds dont help me!! My dr tells me its from the lupus. Guest guest
Joanne, I have suffered from bad headaches for years. Nausea, even vomiting sometimes. I had the whole work up done by a neurologist, they phone multiple brain spots. They tested to figure out why I had them, but it was nonconclusive, outruling most things, not confirming whether it could possibly be MS, or just simply Lupus (the most possible of reasons). I have been on Amitriptyline, 25 mg at night. I've never had problems sleeping, but it does get you sleepy. Some people have a problem fully waking up the next morning. It has helped me and my headaches are not as vicious as they used to, but I still get them a lot. For extra strength headaches lasting more than one day I take Imitrex.
