Guest guest
Anyone know where to find gluten free soy sauce packets? I don't mind ordering in bulk if I have to. Trying to locate some before our vacation. Thanks!
Guest guest
I have strep right now, and I have to say that hot things feel much better on my throat than the cold. Which is weird, I know. I'm drinking a lot of tea and eating a lot of soup.... And two of my kids are sick withstrep. I figure it's only a matter of time before I have my turn. So,I'm SO GRATEFUL that we have a big box of Philly Swirls in thefreezer! My poor sick strep kids are grateful for the flavorful ice ontheir pain-stricken throats. I'm grateful to know that I can have theice if/when I get my turn with the strep. And if I need to send hubby(or older kids) into the store for more, I can simply say "PhillySwirl" without having to qualify it. It's nice to know that a wholeline of something that's easy to spot is also GF. No, I'm notfinancially affiliated. Just VERY VERY grateful for a GF sweet icy treat. Guest guest
My DD12 is just getting over strep...she started with nausea and headaches and sore throat, then got a fever and her lymph nodes were so infected that she had pain radiating from her lower right abdomen. We thought for sure it was her appendicts. Usually our doctor would do the strep test and send us home and notify us if it was positive and have us return to pick up a prescription. But this time she had her wait the half hour for the results and it was positive. She told us that she thought the ab pains were related to the strep and if it was she'd have relief within a day or two of being on the antibiotics. Fortunately she was correct and about a day later pain was going away and half a day more it was completely gone. Jes couldn't tolerate cold stuff either...she was happier with warm tea and honey and warm chicken broth. Luckily none of the rest of us got strep- just colds and ear infections. Crazy VA weather-- it snowed over the weekend, yesterday was in the high 60's, supposed to be in the 60's today and then drop to the 30's and more snow Sat. and Mon.... no wonder we're all getting sick!! I'm gonna have to stock up on apples and make some more comfort foods...yummy apple cakes!! :-) in VA RE: strep throat I have strep right now, and I have to say that hot things feel much better on my throat than the cold. Guest guest
Yuck... I had that a few weeks ago...NO FUN!! Right now I'm the one with the ear infections in both inner ears and just getting over an outer ear infection of left ear too with a rash around it and a scratch just inside. A real pain, put drops in one ear lay on side and wait 15 mins, put in cotton, turn head to other side put drops in other ear wait 15 mins. put cotton in so I can get up and do stuff without it leaking all over. Put cream around infected outer ear. Then have kids keep asking for stuff and me saying "HUH???? over and over..." At least I only have to do it twice a day--morning and then again at night. :-) in VA RE: strep throat I have strep right now, and I have to say that hot things feel much better on my throat than the cold.
