i might let them off for this comment as I think even having a

baby as the last thing on her mind! (maybe the thought of dopey

martin being the father was the main shock)

Just seen it on BBC CHOICE, after seeing last night's episode, then

spotting a mag in Tesco with on the front and " Will she keep

the baby... " . Kind of ruined the story for me ! I too shuddered at

the MW's comments about them feeding baby through the night, but

then the story line would hardly go with propping herself up

in bed and breastfeeding like a good'un, would it ? She's in major

denial, like. :-)

Personally I thought it was very well acted, much better than coronation

street, where she popped the baby out and life has pretty much continued as

normal.

It would be very unlikely that she would BF, and I too was very disturbed

about the baby having jaundice at a few hours, off to special care with it I

say!!!!

I'm going back a few days here, but I was discussing this 'issue'

with my mum. Have I understood correctly that you were surprised at

a newborn being put under a lamp for jaundice? I know nothing on the

subject, but my mum says my brother (now 26 years old) was put under

a lamp when only a few hours old. Is this not the 'done thing'?

Jaundice under 24 hours old tends to be a sign of something a bit more serious

than newborn jaundice. The problem being the baby was just put under the lights

not " apparently " investigated as to why it was jaundiced.

But then again, this is soap and not real life. Liked the bit about Mo telling

her to give BF the baby.
