Amazingly enough my DH is really OK with it now. (I only bought it this

afternoon) but when he saw how gently DS (22 months) touched, held, stroked

the " baby " I think he was quite taken by the idea.

In my experience boys with sisters have a much more set view of what are

girls toys and what are boys toys. My godson and his cousin, both of whom

have sisters were disgusted when a friend came to play and headed straight

for the " girls toys " . To him they were just different toys.

Steffi decided some time last year that colours split into 'girl'

colours and 'boy' colours. Some are obvious like pink and blue but

others are not so - both silver and gold are boy colours, apparently.

I'd forgotten all about this until she started it again this week!

Georgi does this too (yes i know she's a girl!) she keeps telling me she

wants to have a baby in her tummy, (i think when the message gets through

thats she can't she'll be on at me to have one for her!!)

the other day she was wearing a pinafore and came & old me that she wanted

to take it off. I told her no, and 2 mins later looked round & she had it

pulled up round her neck, with Bear clamped to her chest, saying " i *need*

to take it off cos Bear needs mummy milk "

Years ago my girls split all their pencils into boy and girl colours - for

them gold and silver were girl colours!

Hi ,

This reminded me, does anyone else find the Boddingtons ads - Graham &

- totally confusing?(Cartoon of a cow, latest one has Des O`connor

interviewing 'Graham' )

Graham talks like a male (pitch & expression) but has a great big udder

too....

Weird to a Dairy farmer`s daughter!
