Guest guest
I don't really have any suggestions with IUI because I have never had it done but wanted to wish you good luck in what ever way you decide to go. You and your dh are young yet and you have great chances! Help!!!! Hi ladies- its Candace... I need some friendly advise- as it seems I get 500000 different perspectives from 500000 different people. I now have another kidney infection which starts as a UTI- from SEX. . I am tired of being sick.... We have been trying unsuccessfully for 10+ months and no BFP- so I am taking this month off- hoping to bd in Mexico this weekend- if I get better as I will be O ing. If this DOES NOT WORK the next step is IUI- we are not sure if the mucas and sperm are hostile??? HSG shows wide open- but RE is not as optimistic as I - or Dr. Levin is. ANY SUCCESS with IUI, sperm washing and clomid- or did you do HSG injections - I am at loss here and want to be pregnant so bad- it is killing me, doing everything right and BFN Any suggestions support would be great... TL were 6.5 and 7- TR adequate to good. Dr L says IUI is the way to go- I am 36 DH is 35 I have had three FT pregnancies- with NO trouble conceiving b4... Thanks Candace www.zacksplace.com www.sids-network.org ________________________________________________________________________

Guest guest
Candace, Is your husband being treated as well for these chronic UTI and kidney infections. I am here to tell you, they can go on for a long time and be totally symptomless is men for quite some time. After a while, it can affect his fertility. DH just got over his, and he had no symptoms until he was peeing pus and blood!! Good luck. You will be in my prayers God Bless Carol Maday

Guest guest
Thanks Yes it would be great if he would stop smoking but at 75 and having smoked for at least 60 years that I know about he hasn't been able to quit and I don't suspect he will. He actually has used his inhaler and then smoked a cigarette! He's a stubborn old so and so but I love the old coot, and I really don't know that I can handle having him and Phil sick at the same time. Dad keeps me grounded. Guest guest
That's what I told my Mom but I think she doesn't want to deal with it. Phil may call later to nudge him i.e.: kick his butt! Guest guest
Gave Mom a call and they are going to the Dr. Monday. So far dad has been doing better and has less pain. He has been coughing a lot and they are thinking it could be pleurisy or bad bronchitis. He's still doing sexton duty at the church and he did eat Thanksgiving, but just wasn't up to the 2 hour drive to his brother's. Evidently he was embarrassed by the persistent coughing, etc., and uncomfortable with the back pain. No, I don't bug my dad too often. I just find it annoying that he'd spend all that money on an inhaler and then ruin the benefits by lighting up GO FIGURE! Anyway we'll know Monday pray it's not too serious. thanks Narice " As long as I know the WHO I can bear any HOW even though I don't know WHY " (Commentary on Job from Dialogue in Despair)
Guest guest
Good morning Narice. Sorry to hear that your dad missed out on T Day dinner. I will also pray the pain he experienced is not serious. I can't offer much advice about lung problems. I can only say that it would be alot better if he did not smoke. It took me 40 some years to finally quit for good. Been over a year now. My husband should have quit smoking too because of his heart problems (oddly enough his lungs were clear -- Grr) but he tried and tried but when he was finally so ill from the cancer we figured why fight it at this stage. I will pray that your dad will be feeling better soon. Jolene HELP!!!! I called my parents yesterday and found out my Dad missed out on Thanksgiving Dinner because he had a stabbing pain in the back side of his lower rib cage. I am praying this is not what I think it is. Monika and any others with experience in lung problems can you offer me any advice/encouragement? My dad already has asthma and smokes like a chimney <sigh> This really stinks!!! Narice
Guest guest
Hi Narice, I don't know if it could possibly this but have them mention the possibility of a aneurysm. They discovered I have a Aortic Aneurysm 2 years ago to add to our problems. I asked the surgeon the symptoms of it rupturing and he told me I would have a intese back pain. It lays on top of the spine so therefore the pain would be in the back. I was totally shocked. It's probably not this but believe it or not my cardiac doctor missed detecting the aneurysm. I was having Gallbladder pain and in the process of having it removed and the gal doing the Ultrasound discovered it. Whatever it is, get him to the doctor. Guest guest
Narice, has lung cancer in both lungs and does not have any pain under his back rib cage. Another thought, could it be a bladder or kidney infection? Guest guest
My sis was like that, she would take a puff of her inhaler (as well as being on oxygen) and take a puff of her cigarette. She has finally quit for which I am so glad. If a person has been smoking for 60 years and is ailing for other reasons then why stress that person out by trying to get them to quit smoking? That is why I finally quit nagging my hubby. He had enough to deal with with out trying NOT to smoke. It is a challenge to deal with your dad and Phil both being ill but the Lord never gives more than we can handle with his help. My hubby was one of those old coots as well - surely do miss him. Was hard to live with him at times, but being without him is much worse. Take care and God Bless Jolene Re: HELP!!!! Guest guest
, I would call an administrator at the hospital and explain what you need and what has been happening. I would also get a hold of a patient advocate at the hospital and do the same. The more people you have batting for you the better! Good luck!
