Guest guest
Yes, I look forward to my treatments on 2 levels - 1. It means one more down and less treatments to go, and 2. It is a time I can mostly relax, enjoy the nurses and the people around me and talk to people who are going through what I'm going through. I've met so many wonderful people at the treatment center and, except for the actual treatment, I've actually had a pretty good time. At our center someone almost always brings food. There is some guy that makes lunch, big batches of gumbo or stew or whatever. Sometimes someone brings donuts, dozens. There's coffee, tea, hot cocoa cold water. There's a small fridge and sometimes people donate cold drinks. The only thing that's missing is a small freezer to keep ice pops in. If I had the money I'd donate one. Guest guest
It depends. I have mine every 3 weeks on a Thursday. My next one is going to be on Feb. 9th. The needles hurt yes. One time the adriamiacine hurt going in, that vein still hurts when I try to stretch my arm. This is why I highly recommend getting a port or a PICC before you start treatment. Discuss it with your Onc or your Surgeon. The treatment itself, now that I have a PICC, does not hurt while it is happening. Everyone is different though and you might have different side effects. IOW, YMMV LICS June "The best protection any woman can have...is courage."
