Hi , I too am new to this list. And welcome to the group. I joined a

while back and I just love it here. I too am going to have the surgery. I am 5

foot and 6 1/2 in tall. And I weight about 300 pounds. I have gotten up to 325

and yes it is embarrassing when I can't fit behind my seat on my bus (I am a

bus driver). I also have diabetes, I don't have high blood pressure now but, at

one time I did. And I have sleep apnea where I too wake up and can't breath.

I have had 4 back surgeries and now my back is still killing me with pain. I

can't walk very far or sit very long without having lots of pain. I have

irregular heart beat too. I have just now gone to my Dr. and he is going to get

appointment with a surgeon from Seguin, Texas and I will know more about that on

Monday. And I will let you and the rest of the group know when it will be.

Oh, yes my hubby is against me having this surgery as he thinks that I will

die on the table. But, then I could dye of a heart attack too of being too big.

But, I told him I am doing this for me not for him.

So, keep me updated when you will have surgery.

Take care,

PS I hope that I can have my surgery this summer so I can get better when

time comes to go back to school this fall that way I wont lose any time.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the welcome! I have already started browsing the files

and found some great recipes and ideas that I didn't have yet.

I just know I'll love this group!
