Guest guest
Kendall, Good luck. I am sure everything will be fine and you will do a great job. Starting some where new is very hard, specially when you liked the people you worked with before. Less stress is a good thing......you will fall right into a routine soon and spend time with your kids, try not to worry.
Guest guest
Amy, I am glad you are feeling well, sounds like the twins are doing well. I felt the same way about eating most of my pg, I was so hungry and yet nothing sounded interesting or good. Even if I would go to the grocery store, I still could find nothing. Dh would get upset because when he asked me each day what I would want to eat, I would say I don't know. In my last trimester and now that the baby has arrived I have gotten my appetite back. I lived for 16 weeks while I had ms on perogies and chocolate pudding. Hope you find a craving soon! Kim Mom to Christian - 4 weeks 1 day old > Just a note to let you all know that I am still around. Guest guest
AmyH, I am glad to hear you are doing well. I am sure you are getting enough foods, it is hard not to worry though. Good luck with your OB visit, how exciting!! Take care. hello Just a note to let you all know that I am still around. I have been doing well and the babies are growing. I am almost 11 weeks and am enjoying pregnancy thus far. I go to the regular OB on Friday for my first appt. and am very excited about getting to see her. I have been going to the RE for about 1 1/2yrs. I am starting to show a little bit now. I get worried that I am not eating enough. Being pg with twins I just want to get them nice and big so that they are healthy. I might not worry about it as much if I was just having one... I am tired still alot and I have a terrible time figuring out what I want to eat. Did anyone else have that problem? It takes me an hour to figure out what sounds good. A craving right now would make it so much easier. I hope you are all well and taking time to enjoy loved ones at this tragic time... Guest guest
Amy H, It's good to hear that you and the twins are doing well! I think you will now when to eat...just eat when you hungry and you should be okay. I did/do have the problem of not knowing what to eat. Some things just don't sound good to me anymore, and they are things I would normally enjoy eating. Whenever someone asks what I want to eat, my standard response is - I don't know. I usually just end up eating whatever is dp makes...but every once in a while I do have an urge and all I want is one specific thing. I know and I and I think a few others talked about eating alot of spaghetti early on...for me it was just easy/quick to make and just a fall-back when I couldn't come up with anything else I wanted! I hope you are able to find your pg " staple " food soon! -AmyR 25wks
Guest guest
Kim!! Good luck with working!! At least you can be home with Christian, that should be great. I'm so glad the baptism and the renewal went so wonderfully. That is so neat! It will be nice to hear from you more often. Guest guest
Kim, I bet the baptism was beautiful and the fact that you and dh took the opportunity to renew your vows only makes it more special. Guest guest
Kim, I am glad to hear all went well. I am sure the baptism and renewing of your vows was beautiful! Good luck with working from hope, it would be great if it all works out for you. I am so glad Christian is doing well and can't wait to hear about his dr apt. Take care, miss you. 28wks Hello Hi ladies,I am back online today after being off for the past week and a half. All of my company has gone home, and we are trying to get settled into a routine with Christian. It was nice having them here, a lot of work entertaining, but worth it. On Sunday the baby was baptised, which was beautiful. In the same ceremony, my dh and I renewed our wedding vows, we suprised our families and did not tell them. It was great, everyone was so suprised. I did not want to say anything because I did not want it to take away from his special day.Today is my first day back at work, I am working at home. Christian just fell asleep so I am trying to catch up and then get to work. I am worried about how it is going to work out, but we shall see. He kept me busy all day long while I was on leave, and now adding my stressful job to the mix should be interesting!Christian is doing well, growing so fast. When I look back at his photos from just a few weeks ago you can really see the difference in how he has grown. I dont know how much he weights, but he has a doctor appt in 2 weeks for his shots, so we should know then. He is a very pleasant baby, only cries when he is hungry or over tired. The best is now he is cooing and gurgling, smiling at us and swating at his toys, he has such a little personality.I will be online more often now that I am working, and am looking forward to that, I missed talking with everyone. Hope everyone is doing well, I will try and read some posts, but there seems to be so many I might just pick up with today!KimMom to Christian - 6 weeks old

Guest guest
, Thanks, we had a really nice time. Christian is doing well, Mommy on the other hand is a little stressed. I had to go into work today already for a meeting, and there is no one to watch the baby, so my dh works at the same university, so he watched the baby in his office, then I went and got him, ran a few errands at work and then we just got home, I feel like I have had a full day and it is only 12:30. Working at home is hard, because with my job I am going ot have to in alot and loading the baby, the car seat, stroller and diaper bag seems to be a lot right now. I am just overwhelmed, well I guess I better get back to work, I have gone on long enough. Kim Mom to Christian > > Kim, > I am glad to hear all went well. Guest guest
Kim, Wow, it does sound like you are going to be quite busy. Yeah, I still can't get over for such little babies, you have to carry soooo much stuff with you for them, every time you leave the house! Hopefully it gets easier for you......I sure hope so. Working at home doesn't sound very easy in your case!!! (smile) Good luck and try to squeeze some "resting time" for mom in there too!! (yeah, right!) Take care. Guest guest
AmyA, Darn, I was thinking maybe you were in labor too!! Keep up that walking....I hope it helps by Tuesday!! Sounds like your were very busy with all that cleaning!!! I hope you have a nice weekend!! You must be excited knowing your mom is coming in this weekend too!! Enjoy!! I can't wait for that *special* post!! Take care!! 33wks Hello Hey, everyone. Jo-Ann called me this morning bc I hadn't posted anything yesterday and she thought maybe I was in labor so I figured I'd email you all today. I thought I did yesterday but I guess it was just my imagination... Oh well... I'll blame it on pregnancy. LOL Last night was a very busy night for me. I cleaned the entire kitchen (which includes the fact that I took all of 's art and magnets down and cleaned the outside of the refrigerator which wasn't even really dirty... weird, I know.) I wouldn't let go to bed until it was done. The entire house has been swept, the kitchen (only non-wood floor) mopped... okay, every aspect of the kitchen is cleaner than clean... I vacuumed the rug, though it did require hands and knees (therefore why usually does it), vacuumed the chairs and sofa... I just went nuts. I did the same thing on my due date last time. It's like I suddenly realize that it could be really soon and I want to make sure everything is perfect. Unfortunately, it's not like regular nesting where you know you'll be going into labor soon... it took me 15 days after doing this last time to start labor. Oh well... was funny when he came home and saw what I had done. He said "wow, are you in labor?" LOL Unfortunately, nope. I've still been having all of the backaches and cramps I've had for the last month (or more?), but absolutely no contractions. Maybe our daily walks will do something in case my cervix has started preparing since Tuesday... if nothing else, maybe I at least won't gain 2 or 3 more pounds at my next appt. I also wanted to let everyone know that I'm not sure how often I'll be around anymore. has a 4 day weekend bc of veteran's day so he won't be going back to work until Tuesday night... and my mom comes in Monday night. At some point before she leaves I should be having this baby so I'm going to be busy, busy, busy for quite a while. I'm staying on individual mails and will still be coming on to read them... I'm just not sure how much time I'll have for replying. So, if I slow down (or stop completely) it doesn't mean anything has happened. I'm bringing a calling card and Jo-Ann's phone number with me to the hospital so she'll know when I deliver (and probably come here and post it for me). Just wanted to let everyone know what's going on. Luckily does things around here that I don't participate in so I'll still get internet time to read at least.Amywife to ~2/14/97~mommy to ~6/18/97~ and one on the way ~EDD 11/8/01~

Guest guest
Welcome I'd love to hear more about you. Please excuse any typos or terseness, this message was sent from a mobile device. Hello Hello all. I just joined this group today. I wish I had found this group a long time ago. I joined this group with hopes of learning how to deal with myself and my mother. I suspect that my mother has BPD and I have BPD traits. I am hoping that I can be a part of this group even though I may have BPD traits. I honestly don't know for sure. No one has diagnosed me with it. I have been told that it is a possibility from a psychiatrist and an LCSW. My mother has not been diagnosed officially with BPD. In 2009 I committed myself to Mid Mo (mental hospital in Columbia, MO - but no longer exists) for multiple suicide attempts. There is a long history as to why I wanted to take my own life so I will spare the details. But during my " stay " the therapist handed me a sheet of paper that contained a list of BPD traits. He asked me to go through the list and tell him if I made any connection to any of them. If I made any connection, to let them know which ones. Of the 9, I connected with 7. I was able to go home in 96 hours, but only if I agreed to see a psychiatrist AND a counselor. So I agreed. Since I have been released, I have been trying to learn about BPD. No one wants to talk about it. I have tried to read " stop walking on egg shells " and working the workbook. I am now trying to read the 2nd edition of " stop walking on eggshells " . I have also been researching online for information regarding BPD. One of the traits with BPD's is that they are suicidal. Since I have been researching BPD, I have not been suicidal. So maybe I am on the right track? Anyway, this is all I will right for now until you approve me....which I am hoping you will. I am anxious to share my experiences with my life as a child and as an adult. I am also very excited to know that I am not alone.
Guest guest
Hi finallytsquared, You may want to read some of the earlier threads here and see if what we're discussing here and the raw feelings expressed here are triggering to you. This Group is virtually unmonitored, which some people are OK with, whereas others prefer a monitored group. This group is for the *non-bpd* adult children of bpd parents, so if you have many bpd traits yourself this might not be the right group for you. I am concerned that if you have a history of suicide attempts and suicidal thoughts, then reading the posts here (which are often blunt and harsh admissions of pain, damage, anguish and anger over the abuse inflicted by our bpd parents) might be too upsetting for you. Perhaps your therapist can suggest some online groups that are geared specifically toward the adult bpd children of bpd parents, that are more monitored and supervised than this Group is. -Annie > > Hello all. Guest guest
Hello Finallytsquared, I cannot speak to your situation directly because I don't know if BPD fits you as a diagnosis or if there is another explanation like bipolar or unipolar depression, anxiety, or something entirely different. I do know that in my case, BPD traits are present in my behavior and personality. This has been deeply disturbing to me. I even felt suicidal again after several years of recovery from depression when I realized that some of my behaviors were so unfair to my family. After reaading through several suggested books like SWOES, the SWOES workbook, Surviving a Borderline Parent, I hate you don't leave me and Get me out of here, I have resurfaced into the world of the living - and joyfully doing so. The depression for me was a few days of a nosedive that resolved quickly. My reaction was severe because I don't want to hurt my children or my husband. I have been able to control many of my behaviors just by being aware of them. I plan to learn more and am looking into therapy. I just wanted to share because the severity of your case touched me. Good luck and let us know how you are doing if you decide to continue with this forum.
Guest guest
Thank you for responding. You are on the right track. I have been able to heal because I have chosen to educate myself and continue therapy. It is helping. The only advice I can offer at this point is to be patient. It is a slow process, but it is so worth it in the end. I have also discovered that I am codependent so I am educating myself on that too. Hugs to everyone in this group. I love you all! > > Hello Finallytsquared, > > I cannot speak to your situation directly because I don't know if BPD fits you as a diagnosis or if there is another explanation like bipolar or unipolar depression, anxiety, or something entirely different. > > I do know that in my case, BPD traits are present in my behavior and personality.
