Guest guest
Hi Alice, Thanks so much for the welcome! I appreciate it. Sounds like you had a similar problem to mine last year. I had lost 30lbs in 5 months on the diet and then it all went downhill when I hurt my back. I have 2 bulging disks now and SI Joint Dysfunction which caused me to go into a depression - didn't care what I ate!! Anyway, I am in physical therapy now for 6 months and things are getting better, so I want to get back on track with my healthy eating! Doing good so far, we'll see how my weigh in goes tomorrow. Plus it's shopping night, so I can get more of the good foods I need. That is another problem for me. I get paid bi-weekly, so I tend to go grocery shoppping every 2 weeks!! Thanks again for the welcome!! Shirley " Alice " <bigtraindc@c...> wrote: > Hey, Shirley... > > Great job with the 6 lb. weight loss. Now I am back on track but need to really psych myself every single day!! It is so easy for me to have a slip and then go 'whole hog'...every direction I turn (in my day) are forbidden foods.. it's just so tuff... > > Anyhoo, just wanted to say welcome to the group, Shirley, and keep up the good work!! > > - ALice (Rockville, Md.) > ... I especially love the way this group comes up with so many good suggestions for staying with SB!!
Guest guest
Hi Nikki! It is great to hear someone has similar goals as I do. We are certainly very close in our numbers! I'm hoping for a loss when I weigh in tomorrow. Not sure what will happen, lol. Going grocery shopping tonight, so I plan to get a lot of veggies! :-) Shirley Nikki Beth <lalamazz@y...> wrote: > Hey, Shirley! I am new to this group and to SBD, and was reading through some of the posts. You and I have pretty much the same goals and starting weight -- I started at 184 lbs. on July 8th, and am now 177. My goal, is 125 as well. > > Wishing you much success on SBD this time around...and a big hello to everyone! > > Nikki >
Guest guest
Hi, Shirley: I like your name. People named Ruth, Shirley, Esther, Pearl etc. (those usually considered old lady names) are usually very groovy people. So are those stats 180 when you started / 174 now / want to be 125? Then mine are 144/142/125-30 (I'll decide when I get there) I am short. So 144 doesn't seem like very much, but I feel quite large. 1.5 is working really well. For example, yesterday I really craved coffee in the afternoon, and coffee makes me want bread. So I got a small whole grain roll and some egg salad. After five days of no bread that was SO GREAT! Guest guest
Hi Ruth, Yes, you got the stats right. I am only 5'3, so I know what you mean about being short. If you think 144 is large, then I wish I was in your shoes! I weigh a whole 30 lbs more! I love egg salad. I make mine without the yoke now though since I am watching my colesterol. Just egg whites, light mayo and some seasonings. Not bad! and goes good with some salad for lunch. I try to skip the bread unless it is my 1 for the day. Guest guest
You're good, Shirley! No yolks! I'll have to try it. It probably WON'T make you feel any better, but the more one has to lose, the faster one usually loses it. Your six pound loss to my 2 is about right. Guest guest
hi everyone! i just joined this group because i wanted some tips on how to make the most of this diet as well as have a place where i can ask questions. i started the actual sbd last week, so i'm on my way into week 2 now. so far, so good, i only "cheated" once, and that was to eat 1/2 cup (baby size) dish of fat free, sugar free, vanilla frozen yogurt, yesterday. other than that, i havn't strayed at all! i have the cook book so i've been creating some interesting meals, as well as getting creative on my own. i'm 27 and live in PA. i'm a graduate student and work full time as a mental health forensic coordinator. i live with my boyfriend and 4 cats. i am 5'6 and weighed 173 when i started this plan last sunday, now i weigh 169. i'd like to get down to at least 145 or be able to wear my old jeans, whichever comes first . i look forward to getting to know all the dieters! Guest guest
Hey , I just started one week ago today. I'm approximately in the same boat as you. I am 5'7" and started at 176.5 pounds. As of today I have lost 4.5 pounds. I would like to get to around 140 but also depends more on size than weight. I want to at least be back in a 10. What size are you going for, if you don't mind my asking? Guest guest
Hi Shelli! That's amazing that our stats are almost identical. I would also be happy back in a 10. Right now I mostly wear a 14, but some sizes are bigger and some I can fit into a 12. A 10 would be great though, as I think most of the clothes in my closet are 10's. I may have a pair of 8 pants in there somewhere, but I havn't seen them in awhile!!! Shelli wrote: Hey , I just started one week ago today. I'm approximately in the same boat as you.
