Guest guest
-- I'm happy to share info. with all about what I have learned about UAE. I think getting a 2nd opinion is always a good idea. UAE is such a new procedure and few doctors are aware of the new research coming out about the future complications from it. Have you talked with your RE about any other options and about your concerns about the UAE? I got a great article from my RE (Dr. Isaacson in Boston) that was all about the complications from the procedure. It was in a gynecologist journal, maybe your RE can look at it as well. It seems a little fishy to do such a major procedure because maybe there will be excessive bleeding when you deal with the retained products. Is there anything the Dr. can do in the event of major bleeding besides a hysterectomy? Can a UAE be done at that time to stop the bleeding if it starts? I'm certainly not a doctor and don't want to disuade you from taking care of yourself, but getting other opinions and finding out about all of the options seems like the best way to go. Take care and let us know how you're doing. Stacey M.
