Guest guest
Hi all, Ok. So i got some samples from Vita lady. And i just have got to say YYYUUUUCCCCKKKKK. They only taste good RELATIVE to the worse taste of a straight athletic protein shake. At least to me. I even tried mixing them with yogurt to help, but nothing helps!!! I was so looking forward to finding a really enjoyable protien drink. I have been sadly disappointed. I tried the Orange cream scicle, the mint chocolate, and the berry. I have three other to try as well, but am not particularly anticipating any hope. I also tried the Soy Apple Cinnamon crisps. Gag!! Just my humble opinion... s. I had a hard time getting them down but after a few days of drinking them I got used to them. They are definitely tolorable now. I think you just need to pick one <VBG> and stick with it. I've also found that Myoplex brand Cookies & Cream protein bars are WONDERFRUL. 0g sugar. I occasionally have 1/2 of one to supplement a meal if I haven't gotten enough protein in. Guest guest
I'm with you on a lot of them. I bought some Isopure Dutch Chocolate samples at Mothers Market the other day and they were good but after I drank it I realized they weren't the carbo free ones. I wonder if the carbo free ones taste the same. I don't think they make the individual packets of the carbo free! I think it's really frustrating to find something palatable. The Protein delight ones are not to bad from time to time but I wouldn't want them on a steady basis! Guest guest
The same tongue can like ProComplex and PS100? Amazing. Which did you order more of? Guest guest
ggg....well they both definitely have a different taste ...but...both are very drinkable. I ordered more of the pro complex (larger package) as it mixes so well and I can use it at work twice a day. I mixed it with 4-5 oz of water, shook good, put in ice and shook again. Not as chalky as some junk I bought at walmart...yuck was the word for that one!!!!!!!!! not as good as the ps100 was made in the blender....but since I don't have a blender at work the pro complex will work and will help me get my protein in. Guest guest
There are often quite a few yucks before you find that one that says yummmmmmmmmm. Try ProScore 100 chocolate, ProBlend 55 swiss chocolate, or ProComplex chocolate. You can add peanut butter and make it like a Reeses in a glass. Or add a little mint extract and it will be chocolate mint. Don't give up. Keep trying. It's so important to your post-op success. Guest guest
So, did you try the ProScore 100 choc or the Whey stack choc? I'm not particularly fond of the fruit drinks, either, but these two were " the gold standard " for me. Pam in Niceville preop Lap RNY 11/20/02 Dr. Champion/Atlanta protiens... yuck Hi all, Ok.
