Guest guest
I like my docs here in NJ - there is Dr West in NYC; perhaps he can refer you? His website is www.repmed.com. You can email him from the site or call him . It's really important to find someone skillful who has experience removing fibroids & preserving fertility (someone respectful toward your feelings & wishes there) & of course with whom you'll be comfortable working with! Good luck! Honestly though I would like to maybe talk to another surgeon, as I e-mailed Dr who gave me some insight as to what I should be looking for in a surgeon and I would like to talk to someone else, as the first surgeon spoke with...well I am just not comfortable with him. Anyone give me any ideas on how to find another Dr, anywhere I can go to find someone who does this all the time...I live in Southwest Virginia. Any help here would be greatly appreciated...thanks ever so much again...for empowering me. >>
Guest guest
To , I had a myomectomy 5 weeks ago by a surgeon just outside Philadelphia, Pa. ( Glassner, M.D.). He removed two fibroids, one large one and a small one, and I am doing fine. He has special interest and expertise in doing myomectomies. He has performed over 200. I did not have to have a transfusion. My incision is only about 4 in. long and it has healed very quickly. I would be happy to get you his phone number and I can also send you the website for his Fertility Clinic in Bryn Mawr, Pa. He has expertise in preserving the uterus and fertility. The nurse at the hospital told me women come from as far as California to have him do their myomectomies. If you're willing to travel, I think it's worth it to have a competent and experienced surgeon. He answered all my questions and was very compassionate. I was only in the hospital 2 days. The nurses said his patients all heal very quickly. He will take good care of you and help you get pregnant again. I think he's one of the best surgeons for myomectomies and fertility problems. I'll send you his website. Maybe you could talk to him over the phone and see how you like him. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck,

Guest guest
Kisha, Wytheville, Virginia, so I am close to Roanoke, VA, Bristol, TN, Bluefield WV, Charlotte NC, Winston-Salem NC. thanks > : Where are you located? > > Kisha >
Guest guest
: Wish I had someone closer, but my surgeon for my myomectomy (also an expert on hysteroscopy for diagnosis and surgery) was Marlow, MD, in Washington DC. You may also want to check Duke Medical Center. You can probably do a search on the archives for info on Duke and perhaps specific doctors. Again, not particularly close to you, but within driving distance. Guest guest
, I just caught this mention of Winston-Salem, NC in your email. I've been just quickly scanning mail this week and not paying real close attention to this list...were you looking for a doctor in these areas? I have a good GYN I can recommend in Winston-Salem if that's what you're trying to track down...if not, pardon me for jumping in. >Kisha, > >Wytheville, Virginia, so I am close to Roanoke, VA, Bristol, TN, >Bluefield WV, Charlotte NC, Winston-Salem NC. >thanks > > > > >> : Where are you located? >> >> Kisha >> > > > > >

Guest guest
, thanks for jumping in. I am looking for someone who can do a myomectomy. I already spoke with one Dr, but I don't feel really comfortable with him, so I am looking for someone else, but close to home. Thanks for skimming through and picking up on that though. > , I just caught this mention of Winston-Salem, NC in your > email. Guest guest
, I had a myomectomy done July 26th by Dr. Linn Parsons here in Winston-Salem. She's located on the Southwest side of town...don't know if you're familiar with W-S, but she's off Stratford Road near Hanes Mall. She used to be in practice with the Wake Forest School of Medicine, but now is in practice with another GYN and two internists. She's still affiliated with WFU and can operate at either of the hospitals here. I was very pleased with the way she treated me throughout the diagnosis and decision-making process. My surgery went very smoothly, and I am *so* glad I had it. My main fibroid symptom was extremely heavy bleeding and that is all taken care of now. What a relief! Her phone number is in case you'd like to contact her. Email me if you have any specific questions about her that I can help you with. Hope this helps, mailto:ejroth@... >, >thanks for jumping in. > I am looking for someone who can do a myomectomy.
