Guest guest
At last I have a Velcro Child. He is 22 months on Saturday and has just realised that cuddles are what he wants! Going to a new childminder for 1 day a week is the major factor causing this behaviour methinks. Cooking with child wrapped around leg asking to be picked up (not wanting Daddy either) is rather awkward if not dangerous. But it is so nice to be wanted AT LAST. I get the feeling that if I'd got another baby and was bf he'd decide he would take it up now (and with all his 20 teeth) he wasn't at all interested as a baby. Sigh

His first came through at the end of October 1999 - 2 days short of 10 months. Any time from 10.00 onwards on Wednesday but if you get here early don't hang around thinking you can't ring the bell until 10. Mine got his first two teeth at 3 months - been bitten twice, only mildly. 'Tis a myth that teeth mean bites when bfeeding. On a related note, did anyone see the Sky One thing on breast cancer last night ? It's a shame that Judy Finnigan and the like were unable to recount more positive breastfeeding experiences. Only Sadie Frost sounded even remotely positive about it. Cheers. -- Clare Lusher. SAHM to RuairĂ (24.10.99). I did and like you was disappointed by the lack of positive breastfeeding messages. After all the whole program was geared towards breast cancer awareness and nobody seemed to mention how breastfeeding can reduce the chances of premenopausal breast cancer - unless I missed it whilst tutting loudly at some of the other things that were said !! Nope, don't think so, unfortunately. I, too, was tutting and arguing with the telly. Guess we should write to Sky and enlighten them a bit ? -- Clare Lusher. SAHM to RuairĂ (24.10.99). Of course , as it happened while we were staying with my Mum, she is taking all the credit :-) Lynda SAHM to (7), (5), Fraser (2), Callum (15/5/00) Newsletter editor, Mid-Northumberland Branch http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=762789
