Guest guest
I take Florinef every day, and discontinuing from one day to the next is not an option, and nor should it be recommended. I cannot miss a dose without severe symptoms. It is like HC - you shouldn't stop any adrenal support from one day to the next, but wean off it slowly. All steroids are immune suppressants to some extent - not just Florinef. It depends what dose you take. Guest guest
Immune supression from steroids is nto soimethng tht happens from one LITTLE overdose. It happoens over several days of quite a high dose of steroid. SO no I do nto believe the ONE doay of too much FLorinef caused the Candida to flare up. I had Candida long before I ever took steroids, and I alo got rid of ti with high doses of thyroid, in spite of my own high cortisol. Treqating thyrodi gets rid of fungal infectiosn, including Candida as they do tno thrivce in niormal body temperatures and with a healthy immune system they cannto thrive. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
So your theory is that the one overdose caused all my T3 to be used up and made me hypo and caused the severe flare-up? It's a little hard for me to grasp this because when I went back to my regular dose and raised thyroid, I still had the issue. The only thing that started to give me relief was decreasing florinef. And for the record, my temps. during this time were a steady 98.6 so I don't think candida thriving at low temps. factored in. The last time I felt the way I did after this overdose was when I had an infected root canal that was suppressing my immune system, so I have a tendency toward believing what Bill wrote. wrote: Immune supression from steroids is nto soimethng tht happens from one LITTLE overdose. Guest guest
I guess I should have also mentioned that my candida was very close to being gone until the overdose and then it came back with a vengeance. T wrote: Then it seems ot me you had more than ONE day overdose of the Florinef and had BEEN on too much to begin with. I repeat this does NOT happen form ONE overdose, tbu from several weeks of too much steroid. Maybe the overdose was a catalyst that made things noticable, btu something was wrong to begin with for you to still have this problem. BTW my Candida did nto go away until I had been on a good thyroid dose for several months, it is not immediate. This is a balance thing as Candida is a NORMAL part of everyone's bopdy and only when it goes into overgrowth does it become a problem. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets __________________________________________________
Guest guest
The reason the STTM forums did not work for me is that I ended up spending hours going through topics looking for the info I needed for a concise answer. I do nto want this forum to become like that or i will not be able to keep up here either. Everyone here needs to learn how to be concise in their QUESTIONS. And include enough history to be relevant without SO much that it takes 10 minutes ot read each post. That is the only way it can work for me to help so many. Any assistant moderators want to volunteer? I am open to suggestions as i have given this my all and still it seems sometimes it is not enough. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
What I need is others to help people on the list. If you know the answer to a question, POST it! When I see you are answering correctly, I will skip posts that I see you have answered. This is a huge help to me. There are many times whennew poeple come to the list that you canould tell them where to get their own saliva labs, where are the directions to the temp graphing thye will need to rely on in the future for knowing what is going on. It would save me hours to just have people answering new folks wiht this info. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
