Hi Everyone!!

I'm , 23 yo (24 next month) and I'm 8 months post op RNY. I

just found out on Tuesday night that I am pregnant!!! I was/am

completely shocked, but it's starting to feel a little more real

now. My periods had just started to regulate (I only had 2) and

then BOOM.. pregnant! First day of my last period was Dec 12, so I

believe that I'm somewhere around 6 weeks??

Dh and I have a beautiful daughter who just turned 2 on the 12th!!

We adopted her when she was 4 months old and she is the light of our

life. We were considered an infertile couple so this news has come

as a REAL surprise.

At first I didn't know what to think, because Sunoura (my daughter)

is my baby and I just couldn't imagine taking any time or attention

away from her, but now I am very excited and I'm sure that Sunoura

is going to love having a sibling.

I am currently taking a prenatal vitamin, Prescription Iron w/ folic

acid, and then another multivitamin. Is this pretty consistant with

what everyone is doing, or am I way off base here??

Obviously, I am slightly concerned because of the RNY, but I am sure

that everything will be just fine. I am one of those 'lucky'

RNY'ers (knock on wood) who can pretty much anything, just in

limited quantities.

I do have a concern about protein though. Anyone know if we can

take predigested protein shakes to get all of our protein

requirements in? I just can't eat THAT much food!! LOL

As far as symptoms go.. Well, slightly nauseous, tired, just a bit

moody ;o), and boob pain. I also get this feeling in my stomach

every now and then that lasts for about a minute.. When I first got

it I thought that my period was starting!! Anyone else know what

I'm talking about?

Guess that's it for now.. Look forwarding to chatting with you all!!!
