Walnuts are NOT 100% fiber, they are 50% fiber. The label you mentioned has

pre-subtracted fiber. This is against the labeling rules in US, but OK in

some countries. Some US companies do this...I have to assume they are

uninformed about the rule vs deliberately deceitful.

You know, I got a container of mixed nuts, and it really irked me that they said 5 gm carb 5 gm of fiber, of course I knew better so I went to the usda site and checked it out, adjusted accordingly, but these nuts were packaged in NJ... makes me wonder how many OTHER stats they (all companies) get away with! ----- Original Message ----- From: Brook6 Walnuts are NOT 100% fiber, they are 50% fiber. We will probably see more of this, as products try to target LC consumers. Remember to check those counts with 9-4-4 if they seem to far out of line. I even found this mistake on frozen spinach, so it is everywhere.
