Yes, that's why the had the caps on previously. They didn't want folks hurting

themselves to get more points to eat more. If they were spending all those

extra points on good things, then WW wouldn't have as much of an issue with it.

But they know folks would use it to have that blizzard or whatever. That's fine

every once in a while, but not consistantly. That's why when 1-2-3 was out, they

changed the earning of APs. Under the original 1-2-3, all you had to do was

workout 20 minutes and get 1 AP. But they found out that folks were using them

for junk food. So they changed it to where you couldn't earn them until you hit

your first 10%, as they figured if you were eating better that you wouldn't be

as likely to use those APs on junk.

I scrapbook with a lady that is what I consider to be thin, she is not at

goal yet (I think she just has a few pounds to go). She is at the 18pts

level and she works out like crazy just so she can eat more. She says she

would starve if she did not have those AP's to eat.

I still have trouble thinking that eventually I will only have 18 pts a day

and will have to live with that forever.

I wouldn't say you'd have to live with 18 points forever... I think Tory

posted that she is eating 30 points a day and staying around her 115 goal.

It might SEEM like forever when you are working on the last few pounds, but

once you hit goal you will be able to add back a few points until you just

maintain (instead of lose).

I'm thinking that I'll cross THAT bridge when I come to it. (And I will

make sure to not look down because I am afraid of heights.)

Ah, okay. I read it as " if you're earning more than 4 Aps, you are

certifiably insane and should be locked away for ever and ever. " Your

interpretation makes a little more sense.

I rarely eat my Aps. I just adjust my point ranges (since I'm in

maintenance) to where I'm maintaining and not losing or gaining.

Oh my gosh Moe, no no no...you do NOT live at 18 forever. First of all,

20 is the bottom not 18. That's the old plan.

Second of all, once you've lost it all you increase your points each

week until you are maintaining and not losing. I exercise every day and

I eat the following:

Mon: 25

Tues: 25

Wed: 25

Thurs: 25

Fri: 25-34

Sat: 30-44

Sun: 30-44

These are basically the ranges I ate at when I was on the other plan,

which is why the high points on the weekend days.

At this level I'm able to maintain around 115. If I were to want to

maintain my original goal of 130 I could probably add at least 10 points

a day with the exercise I do.

When I was on strike and walking 3.5-5 hours a day I did 30 points. Now

I'm back to 25 a day.

I earn anywhere from 5-7 activity points at a time, 3-4 days a week. If I

want to save most of my flex points for the weekend, I need the extra

activity points as I cannot live on 20 points a day for the most part.

On the flip side of the equation, I truly enjoy to exercize and it's my

favorite part of the day. I would do it every day if I didn't need to

balance my life out a bit and leave time for other after work activities. I

can't even imagine not having my time in the gym a few days a week at this

point in my life.

And although I'm not specifically exercizing with the goal of being able to

eat more, I need the earned activity points to survive. I could never not

eat the activity points that I do earn, as I consider them to be feul for my

machine.
